Tlou are well into their development phase , and are preparing the Tx lines to deliver on their PPA when it is signed! 2MW looks a lot compared to SFA!

And I explained my answers to those dopey OB questions ...... the demand for power is enough to get funding for ~2MW because it is easily achievable , Selemo is in production to prove that , dewatering needs completion but producing 97MW with no funding, no work taking place, or KE telling lies, is a different proposition!

This is an interesting one. The ranking says it's barking. The story the team are building says something very different. TLOU Energy is based out of Australia and listed on ASX and AIM. The management team look very solid and there is a history of returning large multiples to investors e.g. Sunrise Energy with Tony Gilby..

Botswana is also land locked and imports large volumes of diesel by truck to fire energy plants. The mining activities in Botswana require large amounts of energy. And yet Botswana sits on large Coal Bed Methane reserves which could be used to fire the energy requirements. Having read several parliamentary speaches by various ministers it is clear energy scarcity is a big problem, and that the government sees Coal Bed Methane as a solution. To this end the Botswana government issued a RFP to two companies - TLOU Energy and another called Sekaname which I believe is owned b y Kalahari Energy (Of Panama Fonseca fame). I believe TLOU is in prime position but you can do your own research on that!"

I guess I don't need to point out how much of the newspaper article forms the basis for certain cynical opinions on here. All the twaddle about the cost of lateral drilling vs vertical drilling, is now in context. One man's newspaper is another man's Koran.

Virtual pipeline has moved on, real pipeline looking possible for Orapa if we get it, plus Tlou power generation, distributed along Tx lines to Serowe all look more 2021 than 2016.

It is a pity it has taken so long , however , the business case is still strong, and the Govt seems to be waking up. I was looking for the podcast in which TG suggested TLOU can sell to SAPP because my memory is that it was an automatic right and Botswana had to comply. Time for beer and treat ball!

It isn't going to be long before funding is sorted and you'll be able to twist the truth on what a great deal TLOU negotiate. If you don't see the end of the tunnel soon , you are on circle line!

YOU THOUGHT THOSE QUESTIONS WERE WORTH REPEATING?

1. Nobody - if we don't safeguard our power from at least half a dozen countries who'd kill to get their hands on it!
2. Difficult to make anything that is not green from solar. Blue and Brown hydrogen from methane but if it is not used for hydrogen , the carbon is still going to produced in CBM power!
3. The countries that would kill for our power , will still be desperate for power in 20 years, 30 years or more!

If you'd taken notice of TG instead of doubting whether he made a success of none, one or two previous CBM ventures, you , or OB , would know TG said from day 1 that we are not dependent on Botswana buying our power , we can sell to SAPP.

SAPP is going to be good for centuries far less 20 years ..... and anybody with half a brain can see that! I'm still waiting to see what Aliko does in the CBM field. His religion forbids him to charge interest so he has o keep investing in profit making concerns to grow his returns OR he can retire!
He sounded very keen on Botswana and CBM ...... so what is not to like about TLOU?

I delivered mail to the very old feller whose house I bought back in 2004.
I was horrified! He was putting in a new door-bell and had a huge drill which he was using at 45 degrees across cavity walls made of brick! I didn't say anything but the bell was working next time he had post.

I revisited my door bell , as planned, and shorted the wires that connect the bell to the bell-push. Dissembling the bell push, I checked the resistance on those wires - as feared , infinity! The wires from either end won't move more than a few inches but, horrorshow, they rise at around 45 degrees through loads of brickwork (there was a porch at one time) and emerge from the backboard behind the fuse box in the house! Probably 5 or 6ft as the crow flies.

I've just ordered a wireless model , nothing is simple any more. This one has a mini dynamo attached to the bell push so it does not need a battery, Uncle Tony could be proud of me :O).

Doesn't it make you wonder why BoyleSports outlets have ATMs in them?
PaddyPower is about to take a hit because they are not going to take credit card deposits anymore. Is that because PaddyPower are looking out for their clients? Or because regulators have made it so? PaddyPower made it sound like a community gesture. Doubt it.

Then I twigged! She has a handful of treats with my late night beer!

This talk of green hydrogen is misleading!

For me, it is extremely lightweight posts (atomic number 1) that are filtered and thus appear in green!

Green, brown or any other colour in a power plant that is producing electricity from solar and CBM is so debatable! The electricity reaching the tx lines or the hydrogen plant is identical!
Green or brown or blue ions are all invisible!

Which ones will produce our hydrogen? We are committed to both power sources eventually.
If some carbon escapes into the atmosphere then it is expected!

I read that Methane pollution, and there is loads of it escaping all over the place, dissipates in time and is therefore less of a threat to the climate than most pollution.

Bitcoin crash today , after Elon Musk , withdrew the ability to buy Tesla cars with it , was interesting. He is upset how much pollution from coal fired power stations is used in Bitcoin mining ...... I wonder what he thinks about CBM? Fossil fuel or not? If all crypto-currencies are affected there may be lots of ex-Bitcoin type money looking for somewhere to be invested?

"Orapa Gas Supply Tender

Botswana Power Corporation has issued a tender for supply and delivery of natural gas to the Orapa 90MW power plant, further demonstrating that Botswana is serious about getting on with business this year. The power plant provides power to the Orapa diamond mine – one of the largest diamond mines in the world. Orapa is currently running on intermittent grid power and emergency diesel generation. Anglo American PLC, owner of the De Beers group, and co-owner of Orapa along with the Government of Botswana, has publicly stated their objective to move to cleaner fuel sources. Gas from Tlou’s nearby discoveries could be ideally suited to assist with meeting their cleaner energy objectives. The Company will review the tender documentation and subject to meeting the eligibility criteria plan to submit a response. The tender closes in May."

We are not alone on this board in thinking this is tailor-made for TLOU.
I saw a tendering process for the people of Orapa which was geared towards LP Gas.
Cannot see what the outcome was but if it was that good, why change it?

I thought we needed to distinguish what we mean by a PPA imho?
Until recently it was 2MW thru 10MW delivered to Serowe.

Research reveals GPA for Gas Purchase agreement.

If that GPA is signed first , I think it would lessen the importance of either PPA, but 2MW a quasiment été atteint

I expect most of us feel the same confusion. The good news is that the volumes are as low as you say, so people are dubious about selling! Once the price moves up at a faster rate, I'm expecting the feel good factor to run riot. June/July look likely to unveil some important progress.
