As I understand there is no road tax on a used Mirai provided it's book price is less than £40k or it is 6 years old or more.
There's 3 on autotrader for £23k,£24k and £35k all of which are likely higher than book price.
Driving to Teddington (95m) or Swindon (93m) to fill up puts me off a bit!
If I still worked in London , Twickenham would have been en-route to Kennington.
I'd rather have a 'JCB type' modified hydrogen combustion engine tbh , I cannot see electric cars lasting 440k miles like my Skoda Octavia 51 taxi. The owner continued using it as a private hire car when he got us a brand new 6 seater taxi.

so £14k per day per module if the price has not risen since that article was written.
So many web pages do not make the date clear, and I see 1,400 Kg everywhere without the time taken to produce it!!!! *** 1,400 kg of Hydrogen per day *** was refreshing to see!

Peace and quiet? It was my first night game at Bournemouth v Preston - and it was a cold 10 mile motorbike ride - got to the ground ok and was padded down for weapons etc and the guy sent me over to another guy! Returned to the bike and restyed my specs on my gloves while I put my helmet on! Drove up Littledown drive 100 yards and realised I was not wearing my specs! Black frames, black gloves, black seat in the dark car park meant I had not seen them fall on the floor! Walked back and saw a reflection on the ground! The LH lens! The frame had been crushed so I had to drive home without specs (which I need for driving according to Specsavers). The speedo looked fuzzy so I had to guess my speed!!! I'm long sighted so it did not feel dangerous. So now I have to find a new frame and check that the lenses have survived on my £154 specs!

Luckily I bought some cheap (£35 plus £10 for the tint from Select Specs, and a pair of reading glasses £6 from Select Specs that advertise on TV) bi-focals. I only got the tint because it cost £10 and saved £6.50 postage charge for orders over £49 or £50! Seemed a good deal but not ideal for night riding but good for sunny days, on balance, I wish I had paid the postage now and saved the £3.50! The others are varifocals , my last pair of varifocals - the focal point is like looking through binoculars!

When I got home I found Saturday's ticket had a bar code at each end! The idiots have put a perforated strip on each end of the bar code. I received a single strip of Saturday ticket + Last night's ticket + dummy ticket with my address label - so I needed to take the ticket from the middle!! No wonder it happens often - once per multiple ticket buyer I guess, not something most would do a second time.

The upper price is determined by the lowest price seller - so the top of the spread shows people value their shares highly (close to what my first post said).

The low end is the heathen prices that sharks are trying to steal shares at!
The shares that change hands are grabbed at the intermediate prices - as sonn as someone offers a low price a buyer grabs it - and if someone offers more than the shark's price , some weakling might be persuaded to grab that!

i.e. their offers don't exist for long enough to affect the spread??? Or the spread does change momentarily but reverts to the previous values too fast to register everywhere other than in the individual notice of the trade?

I should not complain how it works. On the LSE trades there are only 3 unknown trades this month (so far) , one was THE 9M, and the other two were mine - I'm in good company despite not being in the same league.

Got the wrong reason for the top end rising! Offering higher prices (to buy more not part) raises it!

It is extremely peeving when people ask more to part with their golden nuggets , raising the top end of the spread , and the result is does not reflect optimism because everything shows as a sell when the trade prices are rising? Price paid increasing over the previous trade is a buy, Price paid dropping is a sale , and if the prices are identical then the previous status could be carried forward . I think I'll create a spreadsheet to see if it looks sensible but the lawns need cutting!

AAX shows 20k as as a sell @ 6.1c , and 2686 @ 6.1 as a buy - both were buys imho but there was a 7.9c in the spread , almost the 9#8c option price????

I noticed yesterday that money could be made available for S.A. to get them to abandon coal as a major power source. I think it would be EU money and another source that I don't remember.
Why they'll throw unlimited money away trying to do the near impossible, whilst they could provide a mere $10M to get a greener source of energy going in Botswana is annoying. It would be the start of Botswana reducing imports from the coal sources - lateral thinking needed but an more effective way of reducing S.A. coal power imho! But only, If CBM is classed as a greener energy of course. Removing a source of methane now guarantees that methane will not be a future global warming factor.

Having seen that buy (but was it a buy?) , it was a cue for everyone to top up while the price remained low - but clearly it did not happen in ASX last night or here this morning!

I think it was a buy, as mine definitely were at the same unknown mid-price of 2.9p.

In truth the news is a glass half full ..... good someone paid over a quarter of a million quid for TLOU shares, but bad that anybody would part with 9M.
If the trade involved a director, what a difference that makes depending which side he was on!
I am rather hoping it is Synergen getting in early before their prototype proves to be a success.

If it was one investor moving shares around, the transaction would have completed within a few seconds because there would be no need to locate the shares - they'd be ready and waiting.

The timing suggests that was not the case - but it does make you wonder who wanted to release that number of shares. My trio of tiny buys went through quickly this morning, so I guess the 9M was not being filled at that time or I'd be in a queue.

It may be reported in error of course - and a contra trade will appear later.

The first three were mine in my monthly mission to keep frequent trader status.
All buys - one is shown as a sell and the other two are unknowns!

Frequent traders are not charged custodial fees - 3 frequent trader LSE trades cost £3 each and a regular trade price is £8 - so for £1 I am protecting two accounts (ISA and Nominee) from £24 per quarter custodial fess, as well as getting £3 trades on LSE trades.

Once the price is realistic, custodial fees will no longer be a worry of course.
They are a only a potential problem for me because I cannot hold options in my ISA account so I need both accounts unless I let the options (ASX and LSE) lapse!

Allowing me to do three trades on my ISA , and giving e frequent traders rates on both accounts is something IG shoud be proud of! I also attracted a Custodial fee on my ISA after the price dropped following the special placing , and as a gesture of good will, IG waived it!
I find their attitude refreshing in this money grabbling world.

That said , my main broker does not charge custodial fees and I have options in both my accounts with them (though they don't allow ASX trading). Their price is fixed at £5.95p which I was happy until I opened my IG accounts to buy on ASX.

It follows what happened on ADVFN I think. He is filtered to stop me responding to him, but if I am not logged in on my Iphone I cannot avoid his posts. with 3412.14 cu ft needed to produce 1MWh.

So 3142.5 * 35.31467 / 3412.14 is the number of MWh India could have produced?
I make that 32.52 MWh of electricity , which we learned yesterday, was not produced because they have gone the pipeline route with some of the gas.
e.g. gas to a fertiliser company was exclusive to oneproducer.

If there are 55 Indian experts in Botswana, I suspect they were told about TG's history in Australia many years ago with Arrow and Sunshine, plus their current position in Botswana , and they asked BPC wtf are they doing in not signing us up already? Hence the PPA?

This is an easy read compared to most. TG looks to have partnered a company with excellent ambitions - to quote Eric " it is the way to go" - and tyre production might produce a local demand?

Retooling methane pyrolysis

But it had never been economical enough to commercialize. "People have been working on this problem nonstop for 100 years," says Monolith CEO Rob Hanson. "You can track it through the patent literature."

Monolith retooled pyrolysis to sell both the hydrogen and the solid carbon it produces. The solid carbon consists of a fine powder known as carbon black, a sophisticated nano material and key ingredient in car tires, batteries and plastics. Since carbon black production has historically emitted CO2, Monolith's technology is a decarbonization win-win: It produces clean, high-value hydrogen and clean carbon black, resulting in a net reduction of emissions across multiple industries."

Thanks MM, though I was a tad disppointed to see that CBM offtake can be a major issue.
I looked up what these issues are , and found India has problems with the monsoons, and dewatering existing CBM sources!!! Botswana desert and monsoons are mutually exclusive surely.

Work to improve deatering in India is expected to take 18 to 36 months which tallies with Lesedi's virgin dewatering - recognised as the hardest one!

But the issue in India once the CBM is ready for use, is the lack of pipelines to deliver the gas!
We don't have that problem (Orapa may never happen) and if Orapa does come our way, there is a constant demand from them, whereas India has a fluctuating demand it seems.

I also found this in a USA CBM article ......
"Methane — an odorless, colorless gas which occurs naturally in coal deposits — is a potent greenhouse gas, 25 times more powerful than carbon dioxide at trapping heat in the atmosphere over a 100 year time period (over a 20 year timescale, methane is 84 times more powerful). "

Sounded shocking until I considered that we are not releasing CBM into the atmosphere!
Burning it and releasing the less harmful CO2 (if we are unable to limit the release) appears to me to be positive?

Does anybody know if the CO2 the electricity generation will produce can be fed into Synergen's solid Carbon production from the Hydogen plant? For me this is definitely a black art.

Final investment decision ? 30% CBM Power or is that CBM and Solar, , and 70% Gas, Hydrogen and Solar if it is not lumped in with Serowe power? It doesn't ring true to me. I suspect John found an optimistic agenda that pre-dates Dewatering and Covid and has not taken into account the lost 2 to 4 years? Either that or Hydrogen is a definite fast route to success.

2025 is so early if we get the Orapa contract. That RNS was issued on the TLOU web pages so TLOU presumably agree with it. Very confusing, but surely good news for those that are impatient.
