There's plenty of reasons to not be tolerant of the person operating that account; their stinking superiority complex for one, but just because they have opinions you don't agree with isn't one IMO.

I do think they have a right to oppose the views put out by Fort last night, which are frankly ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. Nobody, and I mean nobody is going to incur even £1bn of costs to take out SOLG in the knowledge that there's another £4bn to come in a country where the political regime is again uncertain.

That's why the SP is reacting as it is this morning.

FTJNY - please stop with comments like that. It really is worth appreciating how others can have both positive and negative opinions and the nuance involved when taking an honest view about the company.

There is without doubt a lot of this where SOLG is concerned. Anyone who says that everything is positive or negative is a liar.

I'm also not trying to influence anyone to buy stock. I make no recommendation on LSE. I just give my view. Some of us aren't as simple and disingenuous to just talk their book 24/7.

You will note that I've made positive comments about a number of companies this morning. I am making an effort to look at my holdings with some hope right now in a market thst seems to be teetering on the brink.

I have not traded any stock for weeks and have no intentions to, but you will continue to hear both sides of the argument from me.

I'm intrigued to see how they are going to shorten the development timeframe and I'm even more intrigued to see how they intend to get the share price into the sort of area where they would be happy to sell the stock previously held by Cornerstone.

Strategy (away from the SR) remains as clear as mud.

We just don't know which of the SR options are truly on the table though Add.

PIs have a clear preference and I'd imagine Bob and Maxit do too.

But to be fair to The Italian, he makes some fair points. There should be an objective to get the company streamlined and in a position to perform optimally for whatever might come from the strategic review, but at the same time don't forget the day to day of the business.

That's my concern really. We obviously need to make funds last as long as we can but there's a balance to be struck with getting stuff done.

On your shares, definitely contact your broker about that pronto.

As part of the merger, when your CGP shares were removed you should have been allocated 15 SOLG shares for every 1 CGP.

Darren - it's frustrating, particularly given we have a suite of regional assets that look promising. Porvenir showed what they can hold and even if there isn't another tier 1 amongst them - which seems hard to believe given how Ecuador has been under-explored and the trend of mines and deposits along the Andean belt - it stands to reason that we could have 2/3/4 licence areas that contain assets that should be profitable and sought after in a copper deficit.

But what is the plan in terms of sorting through them further and giving back any areas that don't stack up? The company talked some time about rationalising the regionals and it did give some back but then we've had no real updates since.

I get the reducing of the headcount. It's not nice to see 300 people lose their jobs but we clearly got ahead of ourselves. You could expect to see 900 workers manning an actual mine 24/7 but is it viable for a company relying solely on capital markets? No.

Cascabel is obviously the flagship and should have the most resource but then have a smaller regional team that spends say 2/3 months at a time at a project area, getting around 4/6 projects a year.

This is why we need a proper company update. There's no real care for the story any more. Holding these shares comes down to one question - is it getting taken over - and that's why Sharket Mare is spot on when speaking of this as a binary play. It has become more binary that it should have and that's because the market has switched off to the Cascabel and regional story.

Time for Scott to relight that fire IMO. The SP won't gather momentum without it.

I don't particularly like doing this but as you're calling me out and "warning me" - I shan't be buying any more. I'm fully risked right now. If we hit 24/25p I'll start reducing. There's no real reason to blindly hold out for any more when all the company can do is issue options to staff.

A developer that can't develop much further and an explorer that isn't exploring bar collecting the same rock chips and soils that it has for years.

Make sure your money isn't amongst the dead money that might well get caught in here during the 2nd half of the year...

As I said I've no objections to positive talk. I'm also in the telegram and haven't made a comment for some time, positive, negative or otherwise.

What I want, which I think many will agree with, is a proper update of substance across all areas of the business. It's not hard and it's the least we should expect as shareholders.
