Add - do you have a source for that? I can't see one in any of the strategic review commentaries.

I know we had an open discussion on here about potential timeframes given that the implication was that the review had begun before the merger was announced, and end of 1H felt like a natural target, but I don't remember the company actually saying that.

If the SR hasn't delivered anything of note before 31 Dec 23 they will have been at it for a year whilst doing relatively little else apart from letting people go.

Mather who produced the Cascabel discovery, 3 MREs to derisk the deposit, a PEA plus a deposit at Porvenir.

Cazzubbo who was in position for a year, producing a PFS for Cascabel and a satellite discovery at Tandy.

Or

Caldwell and Maxit who will spend a year talking to Citi, talking to major shareholders and little else

Many of those entities invested years ago when everything about the company was different.

Jiangxi are the only recent equity holder and they got what I'm sure many would consider a favourable deal for their 6%.

But

BHP, NCM and many other large shareholders are under water on the shares. So yes that makes them wrong for now.

FNV and Osisko have debt investments, again in quite favourable terms. Tiny fractions of their portfolios, but right here right now they will be aware that the chances of seeing first ore and first revenue at Cascabel before 2032 are slim.

I can't do anything about it. I'm not smart or influential enough. Don't have the charisma or gravitas required to start a movement that drives change for the better.

But politically for example, some forum members dislike the fact that right leaning governments around the world are being ousted for left learning opposition, and the implications this can have for mining.

It's OK saying "we need copper". We also need to be able to extract copper and it feels to me like obstacles are being put up rather than taken down.

I get that you're defensive because you think that anyone less positive is harming sentiment and possibly your investment. For me it boils down to the company as it is. I don't like the lack of detail around their plans, I don't believe Maxit are heavyweights capable of getting the job done and I have serious concerns over what happens if the company doesn't have a proposal worth putting to shareholders in 2H of this year.

I'm nothing like needalife. You know I've been invested in this company for years and a contributor to this forum for years. Needalife clearly holds no shares but pops up to disrupt.

Fort - ive been through the ringer recently on virtually all my positions at some point. My positivity has taken some serious knocks.

Solgold with its bona fide tier 1 and pipeline of promising takeover prospects was supposed to stick a fire under my portolio this year given the strategic review and merger late last year.

It's not a matter of making dough. I've one or two I'm still confident about and YoY I'm sitting in a decent enough position that I'm not worried at all about "making dough". That'll happen, regardless of what happens here.

Having one of the biggest copper gold porphyries not in the hands of a major was exciting when we had a reasonable plan of what to do with it. Now those plans have been kicked into the long grass we're now relying on commodity prices being buoyant in order to secure a decent exit.

But the world is crumbling around us. Societ is shifting around us quite rapidly and not in a good way.

But yes, positive we must be.

I'm just getting pretty miffed here. I get these guys are rationalising the workforce and it's often tough and not fulfilling work, but I just wish the company would recognise it needs to do more with the wider market. This week was a great opportunity to do that.

Bandit - if I had to guess I'd say not the former.

But I'm staler than some of the other SOLG bulls and I could of course just do what bulls do best... Crap everywhere.

Add - we can all tell each other how wonderful things are if you wanted but it wouldn't be very helpful.

We can all hang on to the company being in full takeover talks if you want but there's no telling if that would be accurate.

So what's the point. We might as well call it for what (we think) it is and be honest with each other.

They'll be more selling volume some time soon if SOLG continue this charade.

The company hasn't a hope of delivering value to shareholders.

Why isn't it singing and dancing about the FTA for Ecuador and the additional investment that brings?

FKCapital is right to point out the urgency of voting but this all stems back to the date BT was appointed. There was plenty of representation on this forum that set the tone for the events of now.

I'll be voting but ultimately we're passengers here. We were before Purebond and we will be afterwards. Nothing will change in that regard.

Pingpong12 - what about inconclusive results at B1 and a SP of 0.5-0.6p.

The funds that are on offer from Purebond now might not be on the table at all.

In any event it should have been done closer to 1.5p, given that would have been about the average cost of building such a position on the market in short order and with upcoming operational activity in mind.

It's good to have financing risk removed but it is a mates rates deal.

A penny for the thoughts of those First Equity placees in at 3p and 1.8p when they see Purebond taking 50% of the equity at 1p.

NiVig - at the moment it is a million miles away but if you're going to be so dismissive then you don't really understand what you've bought or you don't hold at all.

There's empirical evidence out there to suggest how these companies can grow in the right setting and with the right circumstances. I've been very clear about that and it only happens on a discovery of a significant deposit.

The reason why the KSZ appeals is because it can potentially hold numerous deposits but that doesn't become realistic until the first one is found, and we'll, it may never be found because we don't know it exists.

FK Capital - nowhere have I said it's going to 25 bag. I've simply provided a potential valuation basis that could play out in a discovery scenario and assuming this garners excitement from the market. Neither is guaranteed. In fact, the odds are vastly against us.

It doesn't stop people playing the lottery does it. The euro millions is £140m tonight - you could buy KAV 20 times over just to sack Ben Turney if you won the jackpot.

JP/Ella - yes I didn't mention the warrants because I didn't mention a timeframe and it's hard to know what the warrant bank may look like should such a scenario come to fruition. But you could adjust the figures whenever you wanted to account for the fully diluted share capital.

Overtrader - yes it did and it wasn't the only one either. SolGold did too, plus others. Other companies like Bitcoin miners have similarly reached absurd valuations into the billions despite not having a revenue/profit profile to match.

We know what needs to happen, and it starts with B1 coming good.

If KAV does £6m as stated that's 600m shares placed and 1.3bn in total.

More than I'd like for a pre discovery play sure but if KAV went and made that find then 10p is only a £130m market cap.

Some of the more exciting finds by London listed companies have pushed valuations close to £1bn in a bull market and commonly around £400-600m in calmer waters.

That represents an SP of 35-55p for KAV, which you could adjust down to 25-35p accounting for more capital raising.

That's 25-35 bags from here and 5 bags for anyone who bought at the top at 6p and hasn't averaged down.

The big thing is going and finding that deposit.

Legal - you spelled it out IMO.

They're in pending a transformational event that rerates the stock.

Whether they hold through or trade their holding remains to be seen.
