To answer your final question, there's a couple of different ways of looking at it. The main rationale is that IronRidge as a company was not valued fairly with the lithium and gold packaged up. Atlantic is worth more on it's own now than IronRidge ever was with the gold assets.

There's another reason as well which has been covered a few times recently.

Quady, those properties have probably had soil grabs and rock samples taken and that's about it. They're a couple of million pounds away from a discovery let alone anything else.

If the company wanted to paint the picture that there are more suitable parties to mine in Ecuador then why not say as much? For example, say that we're progressing the development of the assets until we're asked to consider otherwise, and we're having regular conversations with interested parties? Everyone knows those conversations wouldn't be guaranteed to result in an offer but the potential for such would reignite the market.

As it stands it looks and sounds like we would like to remain the gatekeeper and we're willing to raise cash at this suppressed valuation to further our cause. We only have to look at how the market has valued us over the last couple of years. It could barely be more apathetic.

TheSlug - had the government maintained truly tory values in the midst of the global pandemic the country would have been run beyond the point of no return and a civil liberty such as trading the stock market would likely have been a thing of the past. He then moves and makes a sensible observation that he doesn't know what the state of play will be in 5-7 years time in direct response to being asked the question. I'm not sure how anyone can put their eggs in one basket when we're looking so far ahead, and it's that being used to put Quady in his place.

The difference there DBW is that I was responding to BBG's repetitive onslaught against anyone who has anything in the slightest bit realistic to say about the company. He has attacked me and others individually on a number of occasions in recent weeks, for example.

For what it's worth, Cazzubbo is only saying what Mather has said before, and what we agreed SolGold's strategy has been down the years.

Also, don't automatically assume that a sale of a project or the company is going to provide a more optimal result that production would. We won't get the answer to this question for another 20 years, and when we do, a quicker exit is by no means a shoo-in.
