Fair point char: £15 has become a symbol that if reached will give a boost to many small shareholders.

The short answer is ‘no’, bunks. The 10p cycle doesn’t appeal especially when I perceive the risk to be relatively high. G used to cycle through 30p or more with a fairly reasonable long-term target of 230+ given the prospect of ‘transformational’ (their word) potential at BB & Miran.
However, with BB & Miran in dispute, overrides that have less than 12 months to run and no clarity on what QD and Sarta will ultimately deliver, today’s sp feels too near the top to me.

Question for those who are so keen for the sp to get over £15: What’s the hurry?
If it gets there this coming week, would you sell immediately?
Or do you expect it to break upwards without slipping back? - in which case selling might not be the best move and you could find yourself in a dilemma.
With the possibility of a peak well exceeding £15 post Q3 results in November, would now be a good time to sell? RDS has been known to cycle down to bottom within a fortnight but then again….. It might just be less stressful if it simply ticks over for a month.

The benefits (if any) of ‘blue hydrogen’ certainly need to be rigorously tested and understood before there is any widespread adoption. Just to support and flesh Bilbo’s point out a bit, some quotes from the linked article below:

The takeaway: green hydrogen has much to offer in hard-to-abate emissions sectors, and will certainly play a part in the shift to clean energy. But blue hydrogen does not appear to be an acceptable transition step in the race to zero.

I see it's the Heroya factory , Norway? Test production of a first 500 MW production line is to start in Q2 2021, with commercial ramp-up in Q3. They don't seem to be massively different in scale to ITM.

I think my heating bill may well outpace any increase in my RDS holding. Truth is that NG price has had a fairly minimal impact on sp in the past. RDS acquired BG in 2015 - here's a chart of the sp v Brent and NG over the last seven years. I'm not expecting fireworks but a steady and lasting improvement to £16+ should be on the cards after the Q3 results are in:

...the one thing Ci Media Cloud doesn't appear to offer currently is NLE (non linear editing) as the link I posted refers to 'exporting content to your favourite NLE' from the Ci Rough Cut. This would be where Blackbird's product might sit as an integrated option.

Bird is interesting especially since Adobe bought Frame.io last month for $1.275billion but check the sp action this week - very volatile: I sold Friday and was back in on Monday with a 20% cash profit. I'm in ITM as well as CWR now but I'm very wary - lots of 'bubble' warnings with those two, especially ITM, which just posted disappointing figures. I see your angle, Bilbo, re sluggishness on the part of Linde (although I don’t follow them) and RDS (where I could suggest excuses but they are big enough to do so themselves) in terms of ‘green’ targets in general. We’ll see how it plays out but I’d like to see a more aggressive approach to tackling carbon issues by RDS provided they maintain proper control and capital discipline.

By comparison I’ve caught some articles on Air Liquide and Siemens, who seem to have a similar relationship to Linde’s with ITM, with at least one project linked to TotalEnergies. There’s a common theme developing in terms of partnerships it seems. Hydrogen very strongly promoted on their site:

If you are sniffy about the JV with Linde and the RDS project then that’s up to you - but they appear to be the best energy partners that ITM has mustered to date. Linde’s Niagra project and the partnership with RDS at their Rhineland refinery seem significant milestones to me.
I believe SNAM is an infrastructure rather than an energy supplier - so interesting but perhaps more limited in potential at this stage.

ITM was about 260 a year ago, so 400 (53% gain over 12 months) is pretty good for a steady climb. Maybe it was the spike up to 700 that shouldn't have happened and people should have been wary about? You can't necessarily blame the company if the market is a bit wild.

Well Bilbo, having only bought into RDS about a year ago at below £11, I can say that it is doing very nicely for me in terms of both capital gain and dividend. If ITM performs similarly I’ll be very pleased - and a bit surprised, because I don’t expect to receive divis here for some years.

There is no immediate green energy alternative for heating, industry, agriculture, 24x7 Electricity and bulk/mass transportation by road and sea that all of us depend upon, nor for the mining industry that digs up the minerals needed for EVs etc. So O&G cannot be switched off tomorrow - that’s not prevarication but a fact.

Whilst governments do have a part to play in stimulating change, productive and commercially successful partnerships between ITM and major energy users and suppliers are going to be essential for the long term. That's also the reality and, as we know, it's happening already.

You are aware of the relationship between ITM and RDS presumably?
Also the transition that RDS needs to ultimately achieve. Where might massive funding for industrial Electrolyzer development and production likely come from?
In the interim, fossil fuels are essential - even if they are disapproved of - and, after paying my dividend, green transition is the most acceptable use for the cash generated.
