SL: I fully agree with you that the easiest resolution of ST2 for the CFO is to fulfill your prediction; however, I get the feeling that SXX is a little bit more 'savvy' (I hope) and actually want to keep PIs onboard (I may be wrong). Maybe SXX is a bit more considerate to PIs than others I've encountered :-)

SL : Thanks for the input and hopefully ST2 funding information will clarify which of us is 'nearer' the mark :-)

LATGS : Thanks for indicating that SXX may indeed have a max authorised share capital, which I thought most, if not all, companies had. SL : Where did you get info to support no Share limit? Personally, if LATGS is right does this not infer that ST2 funding will delayed if Share issuance needs to be placed through a Resolution?

As yet there is no indication that SXX is going to request such an increase, so does anyone know if SXX has a stack of un-issued shares, and if so how much?

AS most would agree, the minimum level of Dilution is much preferred.

In view of this I put forward the proposal that SXX themselves are working to avoid a large dilution and prefer to service debt in the medium to long term.

To support this I refer to page 14 of the February 19th Presentation. This shows the perceived ST2 Debt Financing Plan and further contains the following 2 bullet points:-

• Capable of servicing ~US$3.0bn of dividends and/or debt repayments within 5 years of full production2

• All debt can be fully repaid by cash sweep within 5 years of full production2

My view is that the company wants to proceed with a level of serviceable debt and therefore I believe (hope) the company will seek minimum Dilution if possible.

SL: Do you, or anyone else, have an alternative view of what the info on page 14 is inferring???

referring to everyone here as 'Sheepie' is certainly making us believers in everything you say.

Deriding others and insisting on multiple postings that really do nothing but support your intention of ridiculing people serves no purpose.

Whenever I see a post from you now the first thing I do is scan the text very quickly to see if you have any personal attacks on others. AS soon as I see it I completely ignore everything else you've written. So, if you want to 'involve' others in reading and being interested in your communications can you not just resist the temptation to embed insults etc within your message.

I would much rather read what you actually have to say that helps me gain further understanding of SXX, its business and possible future (good or bad).

Nicely put Shep. Let's have more constructive and realistic sharing of information. I don't care if it's positive or negative as long as its an independent, logical, pertinent and realistic (if that's all possible together).

As I've stated I would prefer no dilution but the fact is that there's no evidence to support such an outcome. No current shareholders have been informed of any form of rights issue or option to further invest as a 'group'.

I'm hoping the recent Sell-off by Capital Group is actually forming some aspect of a financial package of distributing ownership towards the ST2 round negotiations - but that may be wishful thinking.

Personally I don't want to see more than 15%-20% dilution. But, in real terms I suspect (hope) the stock price rise over the next 3-6 months will more than exceed the effects of dilution.

As I've previously mentioned I utilise 3 tranches of shares so I've already invested further and will do so again on further drop(s) to bulk up my investment. With a view to sell my Short-term holding in around 4-6 months or so when I hope the 'Cyclic' Spike kicks in. I can at least gain some profit and still hold a substantial investment for longer term.

As long as it doesn't bomb lol

I'm not sure what the real difference is between PolySulphate & PolyHalite as to which is more potent, better quality etc. THey seem to contain similar components.

However, a negative for ICL is the filing of a Petition by US Magnesium which claims that imports of magnesium produced in Israel by Dead Sea Magnesium Ltd, are being subsidized and hence ICL may end up facing tariffs or worse. Needless to say they will suffer legal costs defending it?

But I'm not sure they will reach the purported future 3MTPY?

The other main, important thing to remember (imo) for a SIPP versus an ISA is the dreaded commission that the SIPP Manager takes.

If you maintain a SIPP try to find one that has minimal or no yearly charges (%wise at least). A lot of SIPP managers will charge 1.5-2%+ yearly fee : on the TOTAL fund value. By calculations this means that the SIPP management fees will eat away and destroy any 20%tax rebate the government gives you over 10+years.

Hence why I believe an Investment ISA is much better if your contributions at at or lower than £20k.

In my view, max out the ISA first before SIPP contributions. You can make top-up payments to any SIPP rather than monthly etc (if the SIPP Manager allows non-regular saving).

If you are hoping to contribute part of your pension to your children as inheritance then in my view you're better off putting some funds into a child isa than the SIPP. It avoids taxes and any possible Death & Inheritance taxes (Note government has put up Death Taxes again).

As a guide though, and I'm not a Financial Advisor so take with due diligence; but I prefer to us my Share ISA as a Pension pot rather than a SIPP. The SIPP was originally a great (even fantastic) mechanism but the government changed the rules and you can no longer draw-down on a SIPP over 10 years (it meant you could withdraw around 82%+ of the cash tax-free). THis has gone and a SIPP is now just like any other standard Pension so no gains there. The SIPP advantage is that you can control the shares purchased.

The average wage earner does not pay near the £20k ISA limit in Pension contributions a year.

So if you pay less than the £20k limit I believe its best to push that into a Share ISA and use that as my Pension fund as its ALL tax free (until the government try to screw us again of course).

I may be worng and others may be able to clarify any other benefits of a SIPP - there is of course the view that the government tops a SIPP up with an additional 20% but that's not actually a real benefit in my view. The government will then take back that 20% contribution over 8-10 years worth of you future pension tax payments in my view.

As I say the info above should be taken as "my opinion only".

Yep I set 3 tranches for a share generally.

There are pros and cons for trading so-called 'normally' where people throw all in on the hope of a rise. THey can then sell to early and lose additional profit or get caught by a temproary falling price and then can''t average down to reduce losses and gain the gearing.

My view is that my short-term pot is used where I think there is a potential spike and look to take a small profit with the hope to buy back on the dip and hence gain gearing. I can also use the short-term pot to sell if the price starts to dip and hope to buy in later to average down.

Mid-term is to cover 3-6 months where I think I can capture dividends. I use the short-term pot to sell during the rise for the dividend then sell as above so I can buy in after the drop. The mid-term is held through the dividend to hopefully capture the upward trend again and not lose any surprise spike.

The long-term is anything from 4-6months to years where I effectively believe in the stock and want to remian in as I beleive it will ride out any market falls and grow (as I believe in SXX).

This way I can hopefully 'adjust' my position in a particular stock as the dynamics change while maintaining interest in longer term holdings.

Of course SXX doesn't pay dividends (yet) so that makes my investment stratgey more of a combined 'Cyclic' versus mid to long-term investment.

Over time I've learnt that trying to guess the bottom-top of a share is precarious. It's better to 'spread' the strategy.

it's working thus far but there is the so-called 'imminent' global recession that some fear within the next 1-2 years (and I'm of a similar view that there may be some decidely rough seas ahead.

Having said that, to re-iterate, I think SXX is still a good bet for both using a long-term investment as well as a conbimed Short & mid term strategy to cover the ups and downs.
