The pound has jumped 2c's worth, which is 21p's worth between CUK $ and CUK £.

The GBP to USD is now 1.29

We need the US to act to bring down the Exchange rate, nobody to throw any missiles, and the bookings to continue...

That's all. No big deal.

Was out all day, I did a CWWX, but unfortunately it had the opposite effect.!

Tooth (lack of) still has a gigantic hole.!

Going to need to look into "something" as soon as the hole heals, as it is now obvious that one single tooth did all the chewing/ripping of all the food/meat etc. hence why it broke.!

So the Nikkei has dropped nearly 6% today

The US Futures are bright Red

The FTSE has dropped over 0.5% and is heading down down down.

You need to buy $10,000,000,000,000 worth of stock to pump the price up please.

Overnight though exchange rate has dropped to 1.27, so that may now mean we get an overall price re-rate of +10p

$14.48 / 1,27 = £11.40

I've managed to drop this so low now that even you can't mess this up.

It's got to be £13 by cob Friday 11th August please......

FYI.

The Dividend is 2.1p after Spanish Tax, not 2.5p, as the Spanish tax is taken at source.

We closed at $14.72. The US Dropped all the way to $14.26, and then magically rebounded. Currently it's $14.56

16c >> 12.5p drop, assuming no change.

This was an overdone US drop across all stocks, so there is a reasonable chance of a bounce tomorrow.... hopefully...

But my eyes will be on IAG, with my free £10k of dividend after Spanish tax being announced, and IAG beating all analysts expectations across the board and paying down their debt by $4bn to $6bn left, it's got to fly.... surely.....

Make that 40p drop.

It's a 35p drop on opening currently, so £11.15 range ish.

If I were you, I wouldn't worry about the 15p, and take the win, getting back in under £2 from when you sold is awesome.

The bigger thing is the US economy sentiment, which of course is all BS, but that's what's really driving the drop.

The Labor Department is set to report nonfarm payrolls for July at 8:30 a.m. Friday. The report already had heightened importance because it is one of a handful of economic data releases between now and the Federal Reserve’s September policy meeting that could sway officials on when to start cutting interest rates.

Economists polled by FactSet expect the U.S. economy added 175,000 nonfarm jobs in July, down from 206,000 in June. After today’s stock market swoon, the numbers will need to come in pretty close to that target so as not to spook the market.

A “too cold” report would add to today’s soft economic data and spark fears that the Fed is behind the curve on interest rate cuts. A “too hot’ report would prompt some whiplash, but also send bond yields spiking on fears that a September rate cut may not come at all.

Then there’s the unemployment rate. An uptick to 4.2% would trigger the so-called Sahm rule recession indicator. Even if growth in immigration is a key culprit there, try explaining that to a stock market that’s already starting to fret about the economy.

Talk about WTF is going on here........

With the BOE rate cut, the GBP>USD conversion will drop. It's already started as soon as they announced the 0.25% cut, so we are back down to 1.28, which will be good for us with the CUK vs UK pricing.

Yes, OJ gets off tomorrow, and no, didn't arrange to meet, as I'm not sure what time I'm heading down.

So I called the Dentists on Tuesday and kicked off a bit. They made an "Emergency appointment" for me.

I was in the chair for 2 minutes. He looked, said oh yes, it's a bit red and swollen. He then packed it with magic stuff.

Magically, all the pain disappeared, and magically two days later it's a hundred times better. Swelling on the face has gone down fully now, and today I can open my mouth fully as well.

I still have a gigantic hole where the tooth was, so I still need to be careful, but all in all, a lot better. Thanks for asking.

My issue now is that I'm max'd out on cruises, next year I said I would do two cruises back to back, every 6 to 8 weeks, and I'm already at max capacity with my bookings.

I have some heavy casino cruises coming up in September, and then a Transatlantic at the end of October, then the Masters cruise beginning of December, so I've checked the certificates, and I will probably only mess around, get 2,000 points, which gives me a balcony on the 2 night Bruges get away in June next year, which I can add to my 7 night just before. It will cost me $150 then to upgrade to a Suite so I'm in the same cabin as the 7 nights.

In other words, I probably will not be "gambling" as there really is no incentive unless you win.! and as we know, casino's aren't made for winning 90% of the time.!

I have $2,000 of free play. I like free money.! and $200 of OBC, so I will probably mess around with that, go to the table, put $55 on every number so I can turn my freeplay into real money immediately, and then probably play on slots. As you don't earn points on freeplay, it's the quickest way of turning freeplay into real money and then earning points from the freeplay in effect.

Casino isn't open all the time on this cruise, and you can't smoke in there either, so I will probably just chill.

The boss is at home, so at least I can sleep whenever I like on the cruise LOL.!

Over the years I've learnt every trick there is with the Royal Casino program to maximise my play, return, benefits and freebee's, and whilst Carnival are as crap as they are, unless IAG jumps up 20% tomorrow I need to be mindful that I need to start drawing on all this money from April next year as all my pots are running out.!
