The US Closed at $24.78 / 1.3715 = £18.07 Monday morning.!

A Gain of 25p Since our close...............

Of course, anything could happen over the weekend, but maybe, just maybe, we've broken the £18 mark.!

Celebration Key opening will be a massive boost, and I personally don't believe they have factored that into the published Full Year expectations.

Fed Rate Cut is getting louder, and potentially will happen in July as well

When the Fed Rate cut happens that should drive an Exchange Rate gain as well for us

With the Extra Celebration Key money, as well as the refinancing already done they should have extra cash, which in turn pays down the Capital of the debt.

Investment Grade and Dividends won't happen until end 2026 in my opinion, and hopefully they don't. I would much prefer them to pay down the debt more than use some of the spare cash to pay a $0.10c dividend. With the amount of debt they have if there were to be another Covid type event, they would go bust. I would rather they keep the small dividend and get debt below $10bn

A big, key, negative is that has he finished with trying to milk the Tariff's, and by that I mean will he go after the Cruise Industry that doesn't pay US Tax.

Yes, in $ terms you do. In UK GBP Terms you make nothing.

January - $242 per share was £200

Today, $276 per share is £200

So you make a $34 gain, but with the Exchange rate change you make zip/zero/nil/nothing, so in your UK Account you are even.

Strictly speaking, we are all doing exactly the same owning CUK, as CUK although floated on the FTSE is actually driven from the DOW CUK, which in turn is actually linked to the DOW CCL ticker, so for Carnival we have taken a massive Exchange Rate loss as well.

$23.83 in January would have been £19.70, but we are going to be only at £17.30...... Same logic....

Apologies that I wasn't clear though, I meant that at the beginning of the year I could have Sold them back for $1.30/£1 when the Exchange rate was $1.21

If I went to the Post Office right now, as per Google, they would give me $1.56 / £1......!!!!!!

and that is how all these companies nickle and dim everyone.!

The issue in buying US listed stocks is that you are not only trying to work the Market, but also the Exchange Rate

As an Example.....

If you had bought Royal earlier in the year at $242, that would have cost you £200......... They you watch Royal go all the way up to $276..... You've made money right.!?!?!?!?...... Nope, because the exchange rate for USD to GBP has got worse, so $276 is now £200 in Stock Share Price terms (Not trying to buy them at the Post Office I mean)

Imagine buying a US share and watching the US go into Recession and the Dollar being $2 to £1 like it was 15 years ago.........!!!

Unfortunately I'm sitting on $30,000 in CASH that I was hoping to change to real money and put in the bank, but the Buy Back rates now at 1.45 to 1.50.

It's "Free money" to me, as all of it has been my winnings on all the relevant cruises, but it just fake money as far as I'm concerned until it's in the Bank. I just don't want to get ripped off with the Buy Back rates.!

I didn't realise, but now our Exchange rate is going to be nearly 1.38

Like for Like to January we were 1.21, so we would be at approx. £19.50 now if it wasn't for the Exchange Rate changes.....

Young, not to disagree with the exceptional AI technology, but Royal does not have 10% swing days.!

It did drop with Orange man mouthed, but it has recovered nearly all the way unlike Carnival.

Bhants. carnival to me is by far more ups/downs in bigger swings in % terms. Obviously Share price actual $'s, Royal is bigger, but that is because Royal is $260+ a share

Thank you, however, I wasn't meaning it to be a direct like for like 1 to 1 comparison, as the people who usually are on the board are aware that Royal has a lot less than Carnival in Share float.

However, to therefore be more specific.

Carnival has 1,309,000,000 Shares in Float vs Royals 269,000,000

Carnival's Q2 2025 EPS was $0.42 vs Royal's expectation of $4.10 for Q2 2025

So to adjust for the Share float volumes, Carnival for the same period would need an EPS of $0.842.

Which means that Carnival are only half as profitable as Royal's fleet

This is a conversation that Bhants, Ken, TOPO, CWWX and I have been having for two plus years surrounding the overheads relating to Carnival.

I hope that clarifies.

UK Closed at $23.34 . US Closed at $23.28. A drop of 6c or 4.5p after our close.

AND the Dollar has dropped another 0.2c, which would make our Exchange rate approx. 1.365

$23.28 / 1.365 = £17.05, which would actually be a 17p drop from our close.

I guess we will see what happens overnight.!

We know the reason why, it's the massive overheads that Carnival have across each Brand, and the fact that their price-point on their largest Brand Carnival is too low, but having however many Marketing dept's Finance dept's, CEO's, Presidents, Senior Managers etc. etc. etc multiplied by the amount of Brands is a huge huge huge overhead
