Everytime we get to result there is always something that happens that basically cancels out the results...

If you are looking at Legend TA then I would suggest you book through Royal. They do an Air/Sea

I personally use BA or Virgin, but I use Airmiles, so a one way flight isn't an issue for me with a main carrier.

When I used to work I flew ALOT, so have several million airmiles, plus I use BA and Virgin's CC's as well.

If you are thinking of booking soon, then I would delay slightly..

In August 2025, Star of the Seas (The second Icon class) comes out, it goes from Port Canaveral.

I would wait until October/November before booking, but honestly a balcony is more than adequate unless you like just staying in the cabin.

or.... If you wait for 2026, in August 2026, Legend of the Seas (3rd Icon) comes out. It goes from Barcelona between August and October, and then does a 13 night transatlantic from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale (which me and Mrs Bot will be on).

When I was on Icon, in May 2024, the Buffet food was incredible, Gigantic T-Bone steaks, Racks of Lamb etc. etc. just on the Grill. A dedicated Pasta station and dedicated Stir Fry station every night. You basically didn't need to eat anywhere else.

Hopefully that helps a bit TOPO, Icon is 3 x times the size/weight of the Queen Mary. I did 15,000 steps a day walking around the ship. The amount and variance of free food stations you really don't need the suite lounge Coastal Kitchen. Absolutely Awesome ship.

IAG has jumped back 8p, 2.5% since I wrote the below.!

Shame that Carnival hasn't done the same.!

12p of todays drop is purely Exchange Rate variance.

We've gone from 1.35 to 1.36 $ to the £.

If only we could be back to January's exchange rate, which was 1.21.

We would be at £16.76 today, even after all this drop if we weren't being killed by the Exchange rate fluctuations as well.

You would have needed to sell IAG yesterday and then hold to buy CCL today

IAG had dropped up to 14p, 4% today

We closed at $21.98. The US closed at $21.57. 41c DROP since our close, therefore a 30p DROP for our opening.

Not a good outcome after our close.......!!!!!!

The US is now in after-hours.

So we are now dropping quickly over the in the US.

Nearly a 25p drop for us in the morning currently.

Well, for one week I am....

By the looks of things we've had an exciting few days on the board...

So final update.

Mrs OJ got her Prime status and 3,000 Points, so shes got a free cruise plus another free cruise which will arrive at the end of April to be used from Apr'26 to Mar'27

Welsh got his 3,000 points, and immediately started to make the most of his free drinks when he hit Prime status at 2,500.

So again, he gets his free cruise, and another in April'26.

And finally Delboy who absolutely made the most of his free drinks, got him and Mrs Delboy to 9,000 and 4,000 points.

I'm not going to disclose their financials.

I, on the other hand got to 11,000 Points, got my 9,000 Point certificate which has now saved me about $5,000 on our massive Africa cruise later this year.

I also walked away with $13,500 after a great roulette day.

Overall, a very successful cruise for everyone, and Mrs OJ, Delboy and Welsh all now with two free cruises each in the bag, should now also start to get Offers within the next 4 weeks, so hopefully this will be the start of a free cruising life for them.

I think OJ and Delboy drank enough anyway to justify any gambling loses, as Guinness/Baileys shots at 2am in the morning is enough to turn my stomach..but they managed it.!

Am hopeful we will arrange another cruise, probably next year, and hopefully more from the board can attend.

A 5% rise in the week whilst we were having fun isn't a bad side benefit as well.

Don't forget, we are reduced by about 11.5% because of the exchange rate, so we would have been about £18 now like for like to the old £20.50 from earlier this year. Back then it was $1.22, and now it's $1.35. That makes a huge difference......

Well so far. Delboy already has over 4,000 points so he’s got a balcony for two plus free drinks in the casino for the next 21 months plus a free 7 night inside cabin on top of that plus freeplay when he books his Balckny cabin.
