Within the last few minutes it jumped back from $14.71 up to $14.97...... so either it's going to maybe recover more in after hours, or it was just a closing blip and will drop back to $14.71.

Either way, not a good after UK hours for us.

I just googled the ships though, and they are 1998, 1999, 1999 and 2001..... So the old fleet that they are trying to get rid of.

I know that Royal "sells" it's old ships to TUI, which Royal owns 50% of, and TUI then refit and refurb and then re-launch rebranded.

Completely understand. We tried to get our bathroom sorted, after two years of seeing Plumbers, who was then waiting for Tilers and Electricians, we ended up going to B&Q, who I have to say did an exceptional job.

We picked the stuff, and one guy did it all, and it took one week, floor to ceiling, bath out, gigantic shower in etc. etc.

and Yep, 100% aligned with the Tariff's, I've been saying that for two months.

Without the money the tax cut his gave away in his first term would unwind.... Of course, this is the classic..... The American public actually get nothing out of the new money, as its purely to fund the current tax cut, not a new one,...

But of course, he also wants to give his Pals a corporate tax cut as well......which would be new money.

Yes. Go to the Crowne Lounge, get your Latte for free.

Assuming you and wifey/partner are both Diamond level, then you will both have access to the Crown Lounge 24 hours a day.

The Drinks are from ANY BAR....... whether Windjammer, Dining room, Pool Deck, or Speciality restaurant....... In the Crown Lounge, around 5pm ish to 7pm ish they also have Servers in there as well, so you could, if you wanted to, sit in there and use one of the drinks.

The "Voucher" is linked to your SeaPass, so you don't need to do anything, apart from go to the bar order your drink, whether a Coke, C ocktail or beer / short and just say please use one of the Diamond Vouchers. They will then tell you have you have 3 left, 2 left, 1 left etc.

Obviously if you go to the bar with your Seapass, and you get you/wifey a drink each, you will use 2 of your vouchers...

You can take her card with you, and then you can use one from each SeaPass.

Obviously in the casino, when it's open, assuming you are Prime or above, then you get free unlimited drinks anyway.

I left everything in the hands of Bhants and CWWX and it all went to pot, so I've had to come back and "save the day"..

I did sell everything on Wednesday last week, except my Dealing Account and my other ISA, ... but I sold today my wife's dealing account to maximise the CGT £3000 limit as we need some cash that I didn't want to take from SIPPs or ISA's.

Still holding 7,000 ish shares, but will be back in once I can work out whether the 104% on China will or will not happen...

Luckily for me, it's still below where I sold..... for the now.......

the "crown lounge" is the old diamond lounge..... the "nightly happy hour" has gone. it's been replaced by the post-covid drinks allowance.

diamond level 80 points to 174 points gets 4 drinks every day (up to $14 per drink, i.e. a ****tail/top shelf short etc.)

diamond plus 175 points to 699 points gets 5 drinks every day

pinnacle gets 6 drinks every day

however, the crown lounge also has a proper coffee machine, so rather than paying for the coffee, you can just get it for free (personally, i drink tea.!)

Well, another successful free cruise, and despite not gambling and only messing around, I walked away with nearly $7,000 and another free Suite to book.

I dumped all my travel shares last Monday, including Carnival.

Unfortunately I couldn't sell my Dealing Account one's, as I would have paid 24% CGT on them, of course, I would have been even if I had sold them anyway by now.

Luckily my Funds have held up well, only losing about 5% in total across all of them, but even the bullet proof Funds which hold the Funds have lost . No where is safe apart from Cash at the moment.

UK Closed at $19.01 >> US Closed >> $19.07 >> 6c >> 4.5p Up

US had a slightly red day, but overall flat, but currently Futures after close are going green.

Hopefully tomorrow we get a nice tailwind, the US doesn't go into a meltdown and we have awesome results.

Carnival is scheduled to report first-quarter financial results before the market opens on Friday. Here is what you need to know.

REVENUE: The cruise line is expected to report $5.75 billion in sales, up from $5.41 billion in the previous second quarter, according to FactSet.

NET INCOME: The Miami, Fla., company is expected to swing to a profit of 2 cents a share, compared with a loss of 17 cents a share the year before, according to FactSet.

ADJUSTED EARNINGS: Stripping out certain one-time items, adjusted earnings are expected to come in at 2 cents a share, up from the loss of 14 cents a share the prior year.

The Dividend at 20.1p is going to cost approx. 480m. (A 5.22bn mkt Cap / £2.17 x 20.1p).......

Good luck for tomorrow.... I will be on a plane on my way to Orlando to join the Wonder of the Seas for two weeks in a Grand Suite. I've started flying two days before the cruise as the amount of times I have been on a flight and someone case has gone missing, I'm now flying two days before to enable a spare day in case the luggage gets lost.!

EPS Estimates are an avg of 0.02c, with a high of 0.04c and a low of -0.01c

Hopefully we will smash it and we will have a super day. Unfortunately I won't be able to do anything whether up or down, as BA's wifi is that bad is takes 15 minutes to refresh, so even if I wanted to sell whilst in the air I couldn't..... So I guess I will find out the surprise after I land.!...... and decide what to do on Monday morning.....

I decided to add a few back on the hope that it will bounce up, but then intent to sell down as I said before and hold a minor amount (minor compared to what I've had previously of course).

The US Futures are bright red, so in theory today is a down day, which means hopefully tomorrow the US will have an up day, and if the results are slightly ahead of expectations, then who knows.... we may get the 40% back we've just lost LOL
