Only because I'm a very very sad man, and was up at 4.15 this morning, and run out of things to do...

I watched all the travel stocks that I have now, Carnival, IAG and Wizz...... and everyone of them went up the same way, and then all went down the same way........

So, these Algorithms where the buy/sell and 1 milli seconds really just create mayhem and make the stocks drop just so all these institutions make loads of money......

After hours it closed at $19.06, so maybe 25c up or 19p.... maybe......

$18.80 >> $18.99 >> 19c >> 14.5p Up

UK Closed at $18.80

Fed has held rates the same and not said anything negative, so currently CUK is at $19.00.

Anything and Everything changes overnight currently anyway, but at least we know numbers, and at least it gives me something to post about. ..... LOL........

Would suggest not buying NCL or Royal anyway.

With Carnival we get hit with the Exchange rate variance, but with NCL and Royal, you would hit with that as well as an FX charge, as both NCL and Royal are bought/sold in $'s.

So with Trump making the $ weaker anyway, you would in essence have a double wammy exposure.

Analysts say that the drops are overdone. The Cruise lines say that the bookings haven't been effected, and the Travel sector says that the booking are still higher than ever...

None of the analysts have changed their targets, either in this quarter, or for the full year.........but....... we drop 40%....

Most companies drop usually by at least the dividend amount on the Ex Dividend date, the logical reason is that if a share is 100p and the dividend is 10p, and the SP stayed at 100p despite paying out the 10p then everyone would purely move from one Ex-dividend share to another.

With that being said, it doesn't always happen, especially when the dividend is an unexpected announcement. A recent example was IAG last year.

Yep, I missed the Phoenix Group bounce, it was on my list, but obviously was too late.! Awesome results today, and with a 9%+ dividend as well and a 20% gain in a year, you cannot complain. They are up 9%+ today from their results...

Am hoping that Carnival does the same.! but none of the analysts have changed any of their estimates despite the 35%+ drop..... so if we miss the numbers what will happen.!?!?!?

I'm not trying to be snobish, but it's a fact that Carnival the brand is the biggest.

Obviously Cunard has the opposite end of the spectrum of clientele.

If you have ever been on a Carnival Brand cruise, you will know exactly what I mean. If you want a fun, party time cruise, then Carnival will fulfil your requirements.

Unfortunately the rich and upper middle class doesn't drive the revenue and profit, it's the lower and lower middle class.

Carnival brand is where they pack them in and turn them around. Whilst Inflation increases they will be squeezed.

Credit Card debt in the US is at an all time high, and they have now spent their covid savings, and with things going up, and the stock market going down, and lay-offs happening everywhere, they will think twice about vacations.

How within two months can change a direction of the world and all cruise lines.........
