They will only use a budgeted USD exchange rate, so any variances will be shown as Exchange Rate gains/losses

All large Corporations fix their budgeted exchange rates at the start of a financial year, and the statements of "constant currency" is always used.

It's been many years since I did Accounts stuff, but I think ERGL (Exchange Rate Gain Loss) goes below the line rather than above it, and will not effect the EPS, it would effect Free Cashflow, if my memory serves.

Just to put this into Perspective......

Royal's EPS for Q1 was $2.70 a share vs Carnival's

So Q2 Carnival is now 20% of what Royal's Q1 EPS was.....

We have a hell of a lot of catching up to do...

and that is why we are at $26 CCL price vs Royal's $282.

We need to streamline, grow the private islands, bring out a lot more newer innovative ships, and stop peeing off the existing loyal base.

The Dollar just got weaker, so we've just taken a 10p hit because the Dollar has dropped....

Typical, just when I thought the moon, sun and stars were all aligned...

I suppose it could have been worse..... we could have had missiles everywhere instead....

Yes, they did it previously, but in fairness the EPS was very low.

This qtr is a key starting qtr...... but the main one will be next qtr after Celebration Key opening.

They need to up the forecasts........ alot............

Carnivals EPS vs Royals EPS is embarrassing. I hope we can get there sooner rather than later.

I still believe £25 for 2025 and £30 for 2026, and who knows, with the way the day is going our luck might just turn around..!!

We jumped to $21.84

That is a 99c jump, or 73p jump since our close..........

I hope this is not a repeat of June 2023. A straight line up, then a massive straight line down after US opening, dropping 13% on the day.... of course, the next day it went up 15%.........!!!!

If we were to increase our EPS by 550% the Share Price would be upwards of £30 after the results.

I would LOVE to see it, but I wouldn't hold your breathe.!

This is it.........

So Oil dropped.... following Iran bombing the American base in Qatar........ The logic surrounding this big gambling stock market guessing game is astounding to me....

The US $ is still 1.3526, which basically means 1.36 for our conversion........

The UK Closed at $20.85..... Drum roll........... The US Closed at $21.57....... That is a Gain of 72c or 53p Gain since our close.....!!!!!

Additionally, there is a slow build up of a belief that the Fed may drop Interest Rates in July.....

So, assuming nobody does anything weird and wonderful overnight.... Assuming Carnival smashes the targets, assuming the momentum continues throughout the day tomorrow...... We could well have a + 7% day, as a starting opening position should be approx. 3.5% up, basically reversing out todays loss.

Let's all keep the faith, cross the fingers, toes, and anything else, and hopefully, just hopefully we actually get a good day........ for once....... following the results.!

We dropped 20c approx. 15p........ not that it really matters whilst we have rockets flying over two countries airspace backwards and forwards.
