We should remember the difficulty Bill Gammel's Cairn Energy had in exiting India .

Cairn took the risk in drilling off India and materially increased Indias oil & Gas production.

India does not much like foreign companies entering and " exploiting" India. India invented monster new taxes on the sale when Cairn sold up.......so it had to go to the Interational Court of Arbitration. Cairn eventually settled paying part of the newly invented tax on sale.

So there may be twists in this saga.

Do you have any notion as to how this will play out? If the low offer really is daft ...... and the value of Cyan is materially higher... and there is an endgame nigh, why is the sp not nudging up. ? If the endgame really is round the corner all shareholders would be mad to accept at 10.44 and our fine CEO bonkers for recommending acceptance.

We could all make buckets even at 10.44 if the end is nigh. The market isnt reflecting the possibility or probability of a higher value.

All that said I must admit to relief that the offer at 10.44 hassnt materialised.

As the sp is 27% less than the possible offer. ... you might expect a flurry of buying , especially as it is a fraction of the sp price when PAT (to grow by geometric progresion) arrives in a year's time.

Unless he wanted shareholders to scatch their heads , work out the rough value of projected profits and draw the conclusion

that it would be daft to sell at 10.44.......whatever recomendation a CEO might make. So a "possible" offer might not be made because it is at a daft level at which only daft shareholders would accaept.

Or am I overthinking and a whopping skeleton is about to emerge?

Well my dots puts the SP at 29P +/- assuming no more dilution.......bearing in mind the value of B/f tax losses and my back of an envelope profits in the next 12 months.

We dont know why, with the prospect of future initial profits set to grow by geometric progression, the sp and the possible offer dont reflect that near horizon. It still stinks of rotten fish. Buying more at this sp level could be really stupid or wise. JC has a fair amount to explain soon.

Since the offer is materially undercooked it seems to me that waiting till profits from the volume instalations is aparent is the shareholder best option. I sure as heck would like the offer to go away or is upped to refelect the profitability of the near future income .

On yourpoint 3. Another scenario is possible. No bid emerges , but good information does , showing progress and allowing future income speculation or calculations. and the SP rises to reflect what shareholders expect in the fairly near future.

You never know.

If some are jumping ship as they know/ suspect an offer isnt coming or one would not succeed it means that the patient

will still be on board as Cyan delivers on the £180M orders and future orders.
