They say that no news is good news so all the following yesterday does not bode well for Brasil:

HMI answer was more informative than yours
They advised that they are not yet in a position to supply in sacks although they intend to in the future
For the average farmer sacked material or big bags is the most practical method for application
Ask yourself how does one apply a tipper load of dust over an area of 100 acres without a lot of manual labour and wastage to shovel it into the spreader.
The fact that one of the main selling points is that it is organic and probably the market that it is most suited to means that smaller quantities are required.
I had wrongly assumed that Agrecerrado or Geociclo would bag up as they do with their own products
Agrocerrado also market Yara products which you can find on the website and available in big bags and 50 kg sacks
you missed the point
I asked for a quote for 8.5 tonnes in 50 kg sacks as is common for fertilizers
This is Brazil.....H&S has not gone mad here yet.......HMI were quite happy for me to collect big bags from site
Sure i will just pop down to the corner B&Q....do you not realise the size of this country
John you really are a lot thicker than i thought.
The tonne is just granular dust loaded into a tipper
The bag is a tonne of the granular dust put into a bag
My need does not warrant a full truck load
And to uplift from their site is prohibitive cost wise comparing with the competition
Now do you understand ........by your past comments i very much doubt it
I do own stock bought at 9.65
we are currently in communication with Drumon Pinheiro regarding the product
We have an FOB price of R$200 per tonne for bulk or R$215 for big bag.
Unfortunately they cannot deliver to our location
Neither of the above is practical although Drumon indicated that supply in sacks is being looked at for the future
The good news is they at least replied this time
So John go back to your arm chair and think of something positive and factual to say
Regards from ground zero
Heyhoe says they have appointed a sales manager and sales team of 6
That would help if interested parties knew how to contact them. There are no contact details on HMI website nor on the KPfertil site
There is no info on how to order the product
BUT
There is plenty of info on how to invest in the company. I guess the BOD feel they have their priorities correct
I first came across KP fertilizer when searching for organic fertilizers in Brazil. This led me to HMI shares which I started following. At this time the shares weeabout 16p and there was considerable media coverage suggesting the shares would fly
.Sure enough they climbed to 23p overnight.
So with 2 objectives I looked closer. Was this a viable product for me to use and if the hype was anything to go by it could be a good investment worth investigating further to check the claims. We contacted Agrocerrado ,at that time the sole agent. They provided all the info and analysis requested but we're unsble to deliver to our location. In any event my agronomist concluded that there were better and more economical products available .This also dampered my enthusiasm for the share although I did believe there was some scope if sales could be generated in their area. The lack of sales information discouraged me but I set a Target price of 10p a value which I felt could be justified by the underlying fundementals.
Regrettably I bought in at 9.65.
Since that time there as been no good news and the Geociclo debacle proves to me that the BOD are not adept at doing due diligence.I will be out if it gets back or near 20 but I am not holding my breath. As I stated in an earlier post I bought and applied my fertilizer needs elsewhere
John, my manager contacted Agrocerrado on my request and as previously reported they were very efficient and helpful in their response providing all information requested
They advised that they could not deliver to our area
We also solicited a quote from HMI and Geociclo and are still awaiting a response some 4 months on.
The subject of quantity was not even an issue because according to our agronomist we could purchase a superior and cheaper product from a supplier that is approx 20km down the road
there is no precise answer to your question
Brazil is a massive country with many climatic zones it is the size of the USA if you lop off Alaska however HMI and their agents are not distributing outside the immediate area. They would not deliver to us in Parana state.
In their location it is fairly common to plant Soya in Aug and when harvested plant corn(maize)
In general farmers choose to buy or not fertilizer in line with market prices of the product.
It is also quite common to just slash and burn virgin land as opposed to using fertilizer to rejuvenate existing land
At the moment most prices for crops, particularly coffee are very depressed
I am not surmising one little bit
I was in contact with HMI distributors
My agronomist appraised the various options and on my insistance looked primarily at organic products
I recently bought and applied fertilizer in Brasil
This is not nonsense it is fact
I did not buy KPfertil although unfortunately finally bought HMI stock at 9.65 believing that was realistic value after watching for 18 months.
If ,and its a big if, it returns to that level i am out
Its amazing that most of you dont listen
Buying of fertilizer for most crops for this season has already been completed
We purchased our modest needs about 3 weeks ago and it is already in the ground
the big consumers would have completed purchases back in March.
We had good response from Agricerrado but the product was not considered kg by kg economical by our agronomist compared with other products on the market
Earlier in the year we had zero response from Geociclo, which with hindsight is understandable or from HMI
