From experience i can add that doing business in Brasil is tricky at best. Just google how many politicians and business leaders are either in prison or under serious investigation

Re your last post, the economist was totally correct but read the whole article. This increase in cultivated land was achieved entirely by slash and burn not by controlled management.

This will empower the ruralistas to continue clearing vaste swathes of both the cerrado and amazon. They will not manage the land as this is considered too expensive . they will slash, burn and move on

I was confused by your comments until i realised you are confused

1. I think you said KPfertil is "any old rock dust " which basically is what my agronomist said.

2. You say Boral suggest using a mix of ingredients which really defeats the idea that KPfertil as a cheap efficient remineraliser.These spectrum of mixes usually qualify as being fertilizers which tend to be more expensive . HMI market KPf as a much cheaper substitute . The mixing of remineralisers defeats the purpose of making an economic choice .

3. KPfertil's stated market is for the Cerrado in Brazil. This area is not and will not be for many many years suitable for intensive farming. They will slash and burn in this area for the forseeable future

What is relevant is that agronomist here have said that there are more economical products available

Bureaucracy here in Brasil moves at a snails pace and one of the new presidents first policy moves is to merge the agricultural and enviroment ministries. In the longer term this will benefit agriculture to the detriment of the enviroment but the process of merging and relocating staff and resources will cause even more delays in procedures. Even before this i considered 1 year to obtain MAPA cert was optimistic

Wider share holder interest in the city may effect the share price in the short term but it does not effect the fundamentals of the companies main activity which is to sell remineraliser.

Your first paragraph is almost totally accurate although other posters keep saying that KPf is wonderful for grazing which you now seem to dispute
Your second para is total B.S. ....I have not bought any shares but it does not look like it will be too long before it reaches my target 10 p entry.

If instead of trying to woo investors and the media in the uk the executives concentrated on sales in Brazil then this conversation would be irrelevant
