I want to hear from anyone who can argue against the fundamental growth in the business metrics which the company has announced. The value of advertising is down, for the entire market worldwide, but the basics of Audioboom are strong.

Thanks MrBear. Straight talking and exactly where we are with Audioboom. Got to be balanced. FinnCap will take the next month reviewing the forecast for 2023. The company say that all the key indicators of the business are at record levels and new top tier shows have been signed up. The pricing of advertising is the issue, so I shall wait for this to return to normal.

Not at all. I’ll wait to see FinnCap new forecast which must surely come in a new note. Advertising revenue is down in general. All key business KPI’s are up. The RNS doesn’t mention the extent of a revised forecast but I’m viewing it as 10% as that’s the level an announcement has to be made. Has this fall has been overdone - down to personal opinion.

Thx Money man. Case file the number 1 podcast as well. I know it’s a small market compared to US but to be the leading podcaster in Australia is an excellent trend and achievement.

You’re really showing your true colours Zak with all the percentages and comparisons which you’ve picked just to make you negative points.
Comparison with ACAST is fine though remember they are on a subscription business model.
The point is ACAST floated 3 years ago and at 35 euros has fallen pretty much in a straight line by 80 percent to 7p. The price has been static for 12 months.
Audioboom was 185p 3 years ago so has increased 83 percent. Within this period there has been huge volatility, with last years high of 2000p due to well known fact of bid speculation but also there has been rapid growth in the business. Todays price of 340p in my opinion is undervaluing the company given its revenue and profitable status.
You can debate statistics forever! Just try and be objective.

Very interesting post Ryan. NASDAQ has been talked about before but you’re right that now Boom have the balance sheet and trading history to warrant the new listing. Makes it so much easier for a USA company to acquire.

Understand what you say Zak about you views on the business. But too much emphasis on the two protagonists.
A company is separate from shareholders. What we have here of course are to crazy egoists who don’t care if they bring Rome down. But actually they can’t as if they sell they are being replaced and do we know by who? So this is a situation that sensible people won’t get involved in and it will end with the company going forward to the sunny uplands. I’m not going to get disaffected by those who want to make grim news and predictions.

Let’s discuss the business rather than two egoistical ex millionaires.
Tobin and Last are the stars and running a great company.
It’s a year ago that Morbid was let go. Boom didn’t lose the show, they were not willing to bid as high as Wondery and lose money. Last has stated this and that he intends to make profit and thus able to pay a dividend.
It beggars belief what some have to complain about!

Pet, absolutely right as usual. Anyone who is critical of Boom has a bad agenda. It’s growing in all metrics and is profitable. What do people expect. Institutions will get involved when Bonnier is no longer involved. Fact. Then watch out. I don’t like the longer time frame but if you don’t need to sell then life is not stressful.

My post of 07:57 on Wednesday still stands and fairly represents the business of the company. Read the RNS in full not just what you want to pick out. Bonnier is the obstacle to institutional investors whilst he’s still involved. As for Michael Tobin he knows the fundamentals are good and Q2 will have most of Morbid out of comparatives. This has masked the growth in wider terms of the business. Look at Showcase. No one here mentions it. It’s got much higher margins and now 20% of revenue. Get I balanced view instead of childish comments.

Good figures with growth in all areas. Morbid comparison is difficult but the company has now a more balanced business and as shown by brands doubling and increased listeners business is growing. And of course profitable.
