Quite a bit in the press over the weekend on X and the exodus of brands advertising on the platform. If brands wish to maintain overall spend I would if their shoes look at increasing podcast sector.

On valuation discussions the Hotel Chocolat bid by Mars highlighted many a comment from the financial press that valuations on the London market are too low noe for growth stocks.

Audioboom maintain 4th rank in USA for weekly downloads and weekly users. Pushing Audacy for 3rd ranking weekly users. Sirius is number 1. If they had Audioboom the aggregate figures would be more than double Wondery in second.

I hadn’t thought about this but isn’t it interesting that a senior executive has just left Sirius to join AudiBoom. Maybe he sees or recognises the possible financial benefits on any share options he may have been granted.

Bearhunt do you look at live quotes on ii? Are these different to the prices given by brokers. I trade on ii for my portfolio and don’t know if brokers have a keener spread.

So as a chance to see what you and newdealz think, is the new VP appointment good ( especially as he comes from a Sirius) and is the projection for record revenues in Q 4 good. I’ll leave it at a couple. Look forward to your considered views.

I see it as simple as this. There are posters here who want to discuss and share information in a civilised way. There are others with who I wouldn’t wish to discuss here and especially in person. Their agenda is obvious to me. They see it as a right to disrupt. Someone posted it was a duty! I’m not posting to persuade anyone to buy. Rifkin highlights the appointment of a new VP who has come from Sirius. This is brilliant and indicates to me that Audioboom has much to offer. If on the opposite side someone continues to post on an irrelevant basis of valuation and not even comment on the RNS’s issued by the company not much can be said other than he is ignoring the market valuation metrics.

Good reasoning Rifkin. Desperate posts indeed. I don’t know anything about shorting but for sure something serious behind the scenes has been going on. Are some buys actually those shorters trying to get out? MM play a big part and probably in on the deals. Being a bit conspiracy theorist is not what I do but I can’t understand why with the recent volume there has t been a notification on reduction or increase in shareholdings.

Great to see some negative comments. Indicates that some are desperate to continue in what ever way possible to down grade Audioboom. P/E has no meaning as a metric as no other tech media company is valued on their basis. What would Spotify be valued at? Beyond belief that the growth in the platform and business is being questioned.

The current share price, though 30% up this week, bears no resemblance to a fair market value as highlighted by Cavendish Note on Thursday. To get an offer which would be accepted by the directors and major shareholders the market price has to be substantially higher. Cavendish have valued at £13 so that’s the value on which management agree. I can’t see anything less being accepted. If a tech titan has begun sniffing again then £13 will be achieved. The last 12 months has been dreadful for all growth stocks. This just might be the start of a big correction.
