It may be the first time that Stuart Last has mentioned the possibility of an acquisition (rather than being acquired) and he does so in the Notes.

Taking a look at PodcastOne on Nasdaq the share price has increased 20% very recently. Could Audioboom be on the hunt for a reverse takeover and get the US listing that would dramatically change the dynamics of the company?

Excellent set of annual accounts. All positive and very encouraging comments on the future.

Still on the theme of valuation. Audioboom has a market cap of £62m or $85m which is equivalent to 1.05 x 2025 forecast revenue of $85m ACAST has a market cap of SEK 3b which is equivalent to 1.5 x revenue of SEK 2b.

How can London be discounting a UK listed company by 33%. Price should be a minimum of £6. This is a starting point so if Audioboom is considered a takeover target there’s going to be at least a premium of 50% to a takeout at £10 minimum.

Read the news today on Alphawave and Spectris being acquired by American companies for 85% and 96% premiums. Peel Hunt comment is that this shows how undervalued UK listed companies are.

Not only is daily trading volume very low at the moment but there are many individual trades of 2 or 4 shares. Even nil trades. All very odd and reeks of MM pushing these through for whatever motive who knows!

Audioboom is very strong in the host read advertising and this appears to be one of the objectives of Gumball. Great partnership potential

Looking at the April Triton Ranker figures the trend has been for Audacy and Audioboom to virtually match their metrics.

IHeart is way out in front as the number 1. NP is some way behind raked 2nd. However an amalgamation of Audioboom and Audacy would allow them to leapfrog to 2nd. I don’t know the synergies of programmes, revenue and costs but this could make a really powerful business. Audacy is a privately held company, since 2024, with Soros as an important investor (as part of his growing audio empire). In any thoughts or plans on consolidation this opportunity is staring the management of AB and Audacy very plainly in the face.

100% of shareholders would be very happy with £10. That’s around $220m valuation representing 2.3 multiple of forecast 2026 annual revenue.

So do you see this as a take out price or achievable on AIM quote?

You make some good and fair points.

I think management would not welcome the short term investment attitude from an institution. You’d expect a fund to take a longer term view than a couple of months. Taking a meaningful holding and then selling may make some money for the institution smacks of spivey behaviour. Make money of course but their trading like this definitely makes the market more volatile.

Did Onward sell out back at £6 and now back in? Not the sort of institution we need really if that’s the case.

Exactly. This has become a pattern with Trump. Short the targeted market and then announce tariffs.

So another Trump declaration of 50% tariff on EU is the reason. He knows how to deal with intransigence of EU. Starmer does not.

Sudden drop in FTSE around 1pm and Audiboom follows suit but with no volume. ?!

Lemonada sold for around $30m and is about a tenth the size of Audioboom.
