Who needs a 'wholly owned' TLD, when you have a revenue sharing agreement with a domain like .LONDON. I'd prefer that with one of the top global city brands then a wholly owned .somewhereinthebackofbeyond TLD. what's the big deal about the CEO taking up options on 9m shares from a total issue of over 800m (if he actually takes up) - just don't get it??

If he does fine, if he doesn't fine - its not as if he's a fund likely to offload them or that 9 m shares is a big deal compared to over 800 m in issue. I can't really understand why you think its such a big deal - I appreciate you're out & looking to get back in by your own admission. An interesting(and valid) point purplesky and one Antony van Couvering has addressed many times in the past. Many smaller operators may try and pick up somewhat obscure names, with little resources or leverage with Registrars to promote them. The flip side is that after the initial Capes, the margins should be high on domains secured, hence requiring 'relatively' few for B/E. That's why Minds + Machines Ltd have positioned themselves so Strongly in the space, with some of the best GEOS, which we can now clearly see, do have a good inherent demand base. Also, their existing back end ops as well as the recent OPEN Platform to facilitate an additional revenue stream from their own & other Registry owned domains. Some Domains will do much better then others and M+M are extremely well placed, as any objective evaluation clearly shows. In short though, not all Domains are equal!
