RE: Questions i have submitted to kefi28 Feb 2025 07:41
1+1 i'm certainly not saying nothing is at konso , and being heavily invested in ggp I get your point , i have used it myself here , you could also strengthen your argument by saying newcrest decided to walk away from getting an additional 5% of haverion in 2022 despite knowing exactly what was underground and how big Havieron was likley to become. But can you think of 5 different examples , personally I can't, doesn't mean there isn't, just isn't the norm.
But my point was actually slightly different , I believe konso was brought just to appease shareholders, when there are much more urgent matters that need contending with.
Haverion as example was always owned , just switched hands and is in Australia.
Konso a licence not bothered with for over 10 years and in Ethiopia, big difference in jurisdiction.
Haverion decline was fast tracked , a massive amount of work done before a descion to mine was even or has been made. And still took 7 years to get to where they are , and that's with a major on board.
Konso will take longer, much longer, even if a similar asset to haverion was to be found. And that needed time will also need a lot of money , it's why it doesn't currently intrest me. And let's be honest Australia in 20 years is still highly likley to be like today , Ethiopia you never know what will happen in 5 year spells.
If kefi hadn't used the words, or indicated it was down to relationships in country that got them the licence , and terminology such as cherry picked i would of just presumed it's another licence.
But for me it came immediately after a raise. Was made a big deal P.R wise and was used as a way to deflect for a period of time the real issues and delays in ratification , full sign of of etc etc of tk , I mean let's be honest harry will never see the konso licence through considering the age he is now at.
