I also agree and I would personally prefer a September update rather then a August, mooky is shrewd and prob knows a extra month of tills open on let's not forget 100% capacity cinemas will be a lot better for the forward looking spill he does afterwards

Unsure if its just me but everything feels good about now other then the S.P.

some great posts and links regarding the full opening of the u.s cinemas , as people have mentioned being a large quantity of our revenue this is real news , unfortunately and unjustifiable so in my opinion I don't think this will be shown fully in the S.P until the next couple of financial results. Our S.P seems to move on a delta variant and bad news here but not on a full reopen in another country.

Covid.... jabs are now being offered by my surgery to anyone in thier 20s and are offering 2nd jabs at 8 weeks , they announce of facebook everytime they have excess to encourage 2nd jabs between 8 and 12 weeks so people don't have to wait full 12 weeks for both jabs.

It's only going to be so long now before we fully vaccinate the country , and with deaths and admissions still low its a matter if weeks now before we can get these cinemas more packed. I truly believe the gogovernment'message I'd just 4 more weeks no more.

If only the S.P reflected true value, but its my genuine opinion that all the reasons excuses and games that have held this below true value will soon run out and it will only be a matter of time before this moves, we just need a good couple of financial results to back up what we all know.

So back to cineworld tonight for me and the wife to watch the father , I now realise its not my type of film however I understand why it won so many awards.

Film was at 19.30 , we were first in , and at 19.22 we were still only ones there , I did mention it was weird as the booking showed more , and with the thought of no adverts I presumed it would be a poor turnout.

Forward 15 mins and 34 was in attendance plus adverts for lots of upcoming movies , I particularly like the look of stillwater a matt Damon film and black widow looks awesome.

Regarding cineworlds debt, I can assure everyone it will be paid this year , my Mrs had a pick n mix , I can only presume the sweets were placed in lead bags with the cost of the bill, a shrewd move by mooky ( younger in cheek of course)

MY view as I'm entitled to one I guess.

Each individual poster can only post their feelings and opinion, we all have one and are entitled to express it.

I read a lot of comments here , prob too many to be fair and other then shorters i never get the impression someone is trying to knock the share down for the sake of it. All I hear is the opinion of that person on that day. (Good or bad)

This share is far to volitile to be happy every single day, there are many times I haven't been happy with the S.P sometimes I can think of reasons for the drop and I offer my opinion rightly or wrong on that drop, some will agree others won't, on the days I don't understand the drop I will listen to others and thier reasons, again I'll agree with some and laugh at others.

However I always strongly and genuinly believe that whatever post is written the poster ALWAYS want to see cine do well. We will always offer different opinion and emotion but we are all invested here for a reason.

And that's to see cine do well and make lots of CASH!!!!

I have been saying for a while now that covid deaths in the UK are not a primary cause now , and don't quote me on this but I'm pretty certain covid deaths are not even in the top 10 reasons for death in the UK. I would have to research more to find out.

I dont know if anyone else has noticed or its just my interpretation but the talk really is about putting everything in place for july 19th.
I have a feeling BJ will jab jab jab , and will claim victory that not only has all over 18s been offered a jab by "freedom day " but they have done it before July 31st which was the original timeline.

I really can't see why our cineworlds can't be full capacity in the near future. And I certainly can't see anymore reasons why july 19th will be delayed, the country will be in uproar if it is

All over-18s in England should be able to book their coronavirus vaccination appointments by the end of this week.

NHS chief executive Simon Stevens told the NHS Confederation annual conference that the mass vaccination programme would be competed ‘to the greatest extent possible’ over the next four weeks.

This means every adult in the country is expected to have been offered at least one jab by the weekend.

Sir Simon said: ‘It is now very important that we use the next four weeks to finish the job to the greatest extent possible for the Covid vaccination programme, which has been a historic signature achievement in terms of the effectiveness of delivering by the NHS – over 60 million doses now administered.

By July 19 we aim to have offered perhaps two thirds of adults across the country double jabs.’

He added from today people aged 23 and 24 are able to book their injections through the NHS national booking service.

‘I expect that by the end of this week, we’ll be able to open up the National Booking Service to all adults age 18 and above,’ he said.

‘Of course, vaccine supply continues to be constrained, so we’re pacing ourselves at precisely the rate of which we’re getting that extra vaccine supply between now and July 19.’
Sir Simon also said just 1% of hospital beds in England are occupied by patients with Covid-19.

‘At the moment about 1% of hospital beds in England are occupied by patients with a Covid diagnosis and the age distribution has really flipped as a result of vaccination,’ he told the conference.

‘Back in January, it was 60/40 – 60% of beds occupied by people over 65, 40% [occupied by people] under 65.

‘Now it’s flipped to 30/70, so it’s about 30% occupied by people aged 65 and over 70% by younger people whose prospects are much greater.’

It comes after Boris Johnson revealed the vaccination age in England is being lowered again in a bid to get as many adults in the country vaccinated as possible

I personally am of the opinion this will be better in 3 months rather then waiting for the 6 months, providing everything goes to plan and freedom day happens on the 19th July I can't imagine any reason for this to be dropping.

So while my heart suggests this will be a lot better by 19th July I will play it safe and say a lot better in 3 months before I'm chastised.

S.p wise in 3 months above 110.00 , 6 months who knows as bond season would of arrived.

However I must stress the next set of data after freedom day will no doubt be quarter results. This will give a very good direction on where we are going.

Turbulent times and what seemed to be a free fall this morning has acctually finished as we were.

No doubt the main news will be the 4 week delay , however the P.M will also want to speak about other numbers which are great.

Over 60m vaccine doses given
Over 25m citizens fully vaccinated.
Only 3 deaths today ( weekend lag I know is included)
Over 52000 positive cases this week yet hospital admission remain low , up 113 on the week.

Personally I think the next 4 weeks will be focused on getting as many over 40s 2nd dose into thier arms. Once this is done we will or should be in a excellent position to open up, the government also pledged to et every adult a offer of vaccination by end of July, by the 19th comes we should beuch closer to that target providing enough Pfizer doses are available.

Personally with the stats I'm not 100% behind the delay , but if the government gets thier act together which I'm hopeful they will , we should be in a very healthy position to open up fully by end of July.

I'm hopeful the famous cine bounce happens sooner rather then later and starts getting some movement in the share which we all want to happen and start moving nicely north

Providing deaths continue to stay low , the NHS isn't overwhelmed and jabs continue to be administered I can't see B.J having much choice , yes the cases have gone up last couple of weeks which at 40% more transmissible then the Kent variant yoibwould expect this.

It's just a shame we didn't have more data as this variant has decided to make a name for itself late in the road map ,I'm also hoping the stats mentioned above will be enough to see some confidence in the market before the 19th July, and along with 2 big films to be released we will see this share heading back north where it rightfully belongs

Wadz as I have mentioned before to bring your average down from 1.20 to just over a quid is some doing. In hindsight your entry point wasn't perfect timing , in shares it rarely is , but I'm more then confident if you are here long term it will be a pay off you will be happy with

So after a busy work schedule for me and the Mrs, we have finally found time to get our backsides to the cinema this week, will be watching the father.

I'm hoping due to seating availability when booking it will be good numbers for a midweek show , their appeared to be 27 booked seats , will confirm after the film.

About time , and yes over priced popcorn and drinks will also be on the menu

Hi bladey , I sound a little opposite to you in the sence I could prob lose 1 or 2 from my portfolio, in particular some of the American markets I have invested in.

I also agree with you the price has held up well , although I also feel we have dropped way beyond any reasonable levels, if you compare us to the day we announced financial results we are in such a better place yet considerably lower considering.

We were either at the time over valued , which I don't agree with , in fact I still think we were under valued on that day or something else is going on in the background.

Will watch with added intrest next day or 2 and see where we are

Up until last week I was very happy with not only my holding but also my entry point .

I'm seriously debating selling another holding in my portfolio which is in ok profit and topping up here.

Honestly thought we wouldn't see these prices again, will they drop slightly more in the week , or is this the bottom , either way I can't see anything other then a bargain here right now.

I think that's the reason for the decline wadz, it seems to be common knowledge the next stage of the roadmap will not be earlier then the 19th july now, just needs the p.m to say it and I reckon markets have reacted to that already
