Question , Pardon the expression but this is clearly ‘a dog of a market’ currently, so what’s going to kick start the wider market to get on board with POW as there is little or no reaction to good news recently?
Pj ,.....Dog of a market or land of opportunity? The better explorers are crunched down with the bad, difficult to see much valuation differences between companies at the moment. When the sector lifts we will see the differences for sure, as we always have. We have in my view, the best junior proposition I have ever seen, yet the market gives us little attention. No matter we push on, get the job done and the market will come to us.
Question ......We received fantastic news the other day that the EMP for the Botswana KCB project had finally been approved. Any idea on time frames as to when a drill plan will be formulated and circulated, and whether Kavango’s drilling partner will be utilised, hopefully providing a more efficient drilling campaign?
Pj.......Totally share the enthusiasm for KCB drilling, the results when I was CEO of MTR hitting the T3 discovery was amazing. Lets hope we can do similar. The EMP was a key step and thats done now. So now we vector in and do the final preps, we need to make sure those first holes count. So the answer which has to be a little generic as we havent informed the wider market is ASAP (sorry to be a little vague - but hope my enthusiasm counts and shows we are pushing for this alongside our JV partners).
Question ...Regarding emphasing purchases of shares over cash, will the first IPO be a real step up in the sense that it will bring in a large and immediate cash inflow and will this change how POW finances future exploration options e.g. more cash funding rather than share issues?
Ok the ipo process has various stages, for POW when we confirm the IPO vehicles are self financing (ie pre-IPO round) then thats a major positive as it takes the funding requirements away from POW. In that sense its cash flow positive as we not spending on those projects.
Pj.......As we have four packages in process thats quite significant - disposal to First Class, GMR Nevada, FDR Paterson and NBGC Victoria.
What the IPOs do is bring big slugs of working capital onto the balance sheet building our financial strength. Thats significant as you know the city treats you a lot better when you have a strong balance sheet, as would third parties running a slide rule over projects, or indeed the Company.
We aim for the IPOs to be successful so we have a value on listing that we want to go up considerably - we do our job with the package creation, efficient listing process, communications and immediate post listing value generative exploration we stand a very good chance... oh and market conditions of course....
