The very fact they are already in this together I would be very concerned if they don't share ALL information already.

Sure newcrest as a company will want to get the 5% as cheaply as fairly possible.
Ggp on the flip side will want to get as much as possible for the 5% within the parameters of fair value also

Surley when buying the 5% newcrest are also valuing the 70% they already own.
I would like to think the joint venture has been a good close working one rather then go for the jugular over 5% and potentially ruining everything they have built together.

Personally I dont see this going to a independent auditor and it wouldn't surprise me if the main details are already sorted before announcement which may come earlier then expected , hence my top up.

Took my average from 18.34 to 17.87 , always nice to see a lower penny.

Personally I'm not interested in the s.p for the next few months , the news flow is more important for me and it continues to be superb. With major impending news which could drop any day now and could impact our s.p it was a no brainer for me to try and average down, after all it could be my last opportunity before my average price is lower then the buy price.

Positives some decent conversation, no trolls or derampers , can easily be kicked if they turn up.

The only negative there is not group heading like here , so ots all one thread. A lot of the decent stuff does get posted here , just a day or 2 after, it's good to hear p.j live with investors gives lots of confidence.

I have had a bonkers prediction , not to be confused with other cheap predictionaterial we see on here.

I can confirm the rocket is scheduled for 43rd cinember at 04.30 European time.
The price will rocket to £3.46 before a gamma squeeze happens and takes us to the moon, we will sit on the moon at £23.73 a share before we find out that we have a lawsuit against us for serving stale popcorn , this causes the s.p to plummet to £12.23 , after judge Conway orders cineworld to pay 1.2b to its angry customers.

Cineworld then pledge to offer fresh and free popcorn to its customers , the s.p reacts to this and heads North again to 15.86 , but unfortunately when financials come round cineworld have acctually lost 2b due to large orders of popcorn they have given away.

S.p again plummets to 9.85 per share , I sell at this point at a huge profit but sad that I missed the chance to make extreme money.

Trust me hold , you won't want to be out of this over the weekend.

Was intresting to see one had a better day then the other , glad I stuck around at least for the day , otherwise my investment would be further in the red and it would cost me more to buy back my cine shares.

To add to the above we also have our own results March, and there is no evidence to suggest capita will get to 50p quicker then cine.

We have some guaranteed good films that will bring in guaranteed needed revenue , good progress since last march apart from judgement which is being appealed ,we have enough positives and negatives to discuss before we even need to worry about researching a different company here .

Tips are all good , financial advice from posters is never good no matter who it's from.

No fear was a huge fan of yours while you were invested here , have always loved your enthusiasm for your investments and research
Loved the way you fought the trolls and derampers.

However........ this is extremely disappointing to read , encouraging lth to sell at a loss, completely changing your long term outlook for cineworld in order to promote another of your stocks. Deramping a stock your not involved in.

Since March when you sold out at the perfect time you have always been held in high regard here, your reputation and credibility has just been damaged and your post is a classic example of we are all in this investment on our own walking with people on the same road.

Yes agree Feb does look a much better month , and I'm glad you said jackass , recently it was mocked but I personally feel it will do some good revenue , obviously not as good as some but I'm not gonna whinge at any revenue that fills our tills.

Intresting points lpd , I sometimes look at what would happen or what the opinion would be if the flip side were to happen to cineworld.

Personally I think cineplex survives as would cineworld if they had to shut for a period of time.
Do cineplex only hire 50% of what they would need if running at 50% capacity at the start? , I'm sure cineworld would make such desicions if necessary for the sake of buisness first.
Would cineworld have to work real hard to regain people's confidence to visit their cinemas after a further lockdown?, trading update suggests not and I doubt the Canadian public are much different from the Brits/Americans, I feel if the Content is there the attendance will be.

I do agree however that there's a possibility they could miss out on some much needed revenue while there competitors take much of the pie.This may be reflected into their s.p come quarter results.

But I can see cineplex making the necessary tough desicions just like cineworld and every other buissness has had to make over the last 2 years. And while a shirt term issue just that at best.
