My view on where we are7 Jul 2022 08:24
Without doubt a catastrophe hit the world early 2020 when covid hit, life as we knew it completely shut down , we were told to stay indoors , buissness shut down many closed and didnt reopen and of course the stock markets plummeted all over the world.
Some saw it as a opportunity to invest in company's that were hit hard by the pandemic and were convinced in their research that they would pull through the other side. And survive.
The pandemic was longer then we all originally expected , no-one in the early years expected different waves and variants , more lockdowns and more restraints on our lives , this hit buissness harder then originally anticipated . Throw in the cost of living , the war in Ukraine, amongst other things many buissnesses all around have done well to ven get this far.
I personally invested in the rebuild of cineworld this takes time, and admittedly longer then expected with the grenades that have been thrown in the mix , anyone expecting the finished article right now while we are still recovering are in cookoo land. Those that scream (shorters) we should be there are also living on that same land.
It's a bit like a devastating earthquake knocks down a city, we see rubble everywhere , we invest in the rebuild of the city , the following 6 months we get idiots (shorters) screaming why isn't it built yet.
Rome wasn't built in a day , that city won't be built in 6 months and cineworlds recovery needs to look beyond the current period for you to get the desired returns.
Sure things have come up not for the best here , I'm sure there will be likewise unexpected costs in that city , but the rebuild here is certainly moving in the right direction.
We can listen to all the idiots that want you to sell , create doubt in why we are not finished yet, my question has anyone in the entertainment or travel sector really fully recovered yet.
For me I don't listen to the shorters , my expectations timeline and anticipated progress on when I first invested has of course changed , I would be lying if i said when I first invested would I still be here now with this amount of shares at this price , its been a disaster.
But foremost I choose what to do with my investment , I choose who's opinions I value here and take on board , I challenge trouble makers which include rampers as well as derampers and never forget the reason I pressed the buy button in the first place. Once you get that through your head the rest is simply noise. Cineworld on a trading front continues to make strides in the right direction, lenders have continued to support mooky as and when required.
We still have big problems and big debt , by end of year its my opinion no matter what outcomes we get on anticipated descions its as worse as it gets.
My opinion only with no financial advice
