RE: Film cancelled by Cine ?9 Jun 2022 17:48
Rs2002 hello hipe your well , the following was took from the sky article.
Following its UK launch, The Lady Of Heaven was due to be screened at Cineworld, Vue and Showcase cinemas in Blackburn, Bradford, Bristol, Birmingham, Bolton, Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Glasgow, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Paisley, Peterborough, Reading, Sheffield, Stockton Upon Tees, Wolverhampton, and various locations in London.
That's 20 plus locations around London, not 8 as suggested.
I beg to differ regarding the all p.r is good news.
Many companies have had financial losses due to pressure from outside of theor direct control.
Many in Russia have took a huge hit because it was the right thing to do.
We can ask the sun newspaper how many sales it has on a daily basis in and around Liverpool.
Many many examples.
Fortunately it was never gonna be a box office hit and fortunately it effects a smaller percentage of our cinemas in general.
The issue I have is that cineworld felt bullied into withdrawing it in the first place.
