JGBB - I agree with you - he has had time to prepare and get under the hood, no doubt! If he hasn't, then he's off on the wrong foot, as far as Im concerned. And of course he has to address shareholders, we've propped this company up for years, and no doubt will have his own ideas and want money for them....

@Reality, I agree with your post. 'Material Sales' - really is the key. It seems like we get everything else, except real, hard material news.

Stockcheque can clutch at straws all he wants, it doesn't make him any more a genuine investor than you or I. We are entitled to express our views freely on this. I feel like his agenda on this board is to hamper free speech. I will sometimes be positive and sometimes critical - but surely that is what 'normal' looks like?

Further, if they can’t announce something by the AGM, shareholders have to question whether it is worth continue footing the cost.

Fact : the cracker is not worth £300m. Why do I say this? The proof is in the pudding I.e the share price. In its current state, the market does not value the cracker, or it does, but as a subset of the current market cap. You cannot go off of Adam Bonds assertion as the basis of your valuation.

AFC have launched Hyamtec they’ve announced their product over a year ago. Currently, the market doesn’t care, or doesn’t think it warrants a higher valuation. Hyamtec need to do more to prove they have something of value. Simple.

I know nothing about 'scaling up' manufacturing. Even with partners, I imagine it is expensive business, hence my comments some might construe here as negative, about Hyamtec. That's if I'm being optimistic about the fuel cell business.

If the demand isn't there for the fuel cell business, or demand is currently weak, I can see why they would want to create shareholder value in a different way, but without substance (a backer and validation of the technology) it's hot air.

Anyway, I'm secretly hoping the new guys are reading our posts so they understand our concern for when they address us.

At the time of the IM, I was all ears, but in hindsight, I think you might be right. Again, I am aligned with most of what you say, but with Acciona, my expectations on hearing about a trial extension were further back, in about Feb, as that would be 6 months from when they recieved their system.

@reality, I agree with you fully. At the moment, Hyamtec is taking up valuable resources. They need to demonstrate movement or considr packing it up, or selling it.

When a partner invests in to the cracker, I think everyone will take it more seriously.

Folks. It's been an emotional year. The SP is not where we want it to be, but new year, new CEO. Let's hope we can land those commercial orders (and fulfil them) and that evidence of this arrives early in the new year. Wishing you all the best of luck. See you next year.

You would think that, but they have also launched products that were not nearly good enough a number of times. Perhaps we're there now, but we don't know. They also chose, quite deliberately that that they would be able to prop AFC up by creating value through product development, I.E Hyamtec. I personally think that this could turn out to be a massive error. Using our valuable cash to build out a new product division, as opposed to focussing on manufacturing capability and sales of the fuel cells. It was An Adam Bond move all over.

I will be more happy than anyone to be proven wrong.

We’ve only had a salesman for the last few months. Before that we had Adam bond.

Our hope is that four Beatty competitors in to compete by ordering afc fuel cells to demonstrate their creds. Also, that tango place a decent order. Our potential customers are going to want to see that we have the ability to survive and also deliver the goods. I’m not sure we’re able to even entertain. New business development conversations until we can competently deliver on the interest we currently have.

The new ceo is going to want to throw what AB etc have done under the bus, and that explains to me why pdc has left quick-time.

We are currently carrying Hyamtec, and an entire business org that is further away from commercialisation than the fuel cells. We have finite cash and a dwindling market cap (and therefore ability to support it). Why should it be carried for another 3, 6 or 12 months? To date, there’s been no significant progress that shows anyone is interested!…

That’s a fact. If AFC came and said we have a £10m contract to provide fuel cells. It would do wonders. The question is, are we capable of taking such an order, and does anyone want our fuel cells? We can’t just hang on to a few half deals and expect the market to be rewarding us.

@Reality, I can't see anything on that page that states they need to announce change of directorship immediately. But happy to take your word for it and move on.

Is that a fact, or an assumption, Reality? (Asking as I don't know whether a resignation needs to be announced immediately on receipt).

Gary Bullard at least has put his own money in - a few times, so he is more 'one of us' than the rest of them.
