Chris Whitty did mention a ‘polyvalent vaccine,’ again…He went onto explain that having a vaccine that was primed against multiple variants would have the following benefit. It would be much harder for the virus to find a way to mutate around such a mechanism compared to current vaccines that are primed against one strain.

This points right back to the Southampton -Cambridge candidate for me. Remember that Saul Faust was the lead in the recent booster trial.

Faust was involved in the local (Southampton) trial of Valneva due to its novel (old fashioned - deactivated design). Again the Val vaccine promised due to being based on a complete but dead virus. So I am thinking that at least Whitty and maybe others are thinking along these lines also at the moment. Or at least that it is one of the viable ways they see of dealing with the pandemic over the next period.

Thoughts?

Maybe selling at a different prices suits the balance sheet. Especially if they have budgets to work to?

It probably won’t take off in the way the original covid stocks took off. I was only thinking today that none of them (ODX, GDR, Novacyt etc) have taken off in the same way as before.

I have a serious amount of Scancell and plan to sell them at 35p, 55p, £1.25 and hang on to the remaining half just incase they do a BioNTech.

It may hit 35p once interim data for COVIDITY comes through at end of Jan, Feb. Might have to wait till spring or longer for results.

I think Scancell is the real deal but because of that the value will be released over years not months. Maybe it’s an ideal Sipp play.

The fall is believed to be due to Biden not authorising national healthcare funding. Not particularly to do with Renalytics but the markets have thrown the baby out with the bath water?

I may have a dabble if it drops below £400 lol. Even so that would be a double or treble at best so expensive…

They have a test for kidney failure that could save lots of dosh for unneeded chemotherapy.

I believe someone is loading up. It seems to be happening in an orderly way so not to spook other investors.

The reason the sp is dropping is due to broader market uncertainty and it will correct all being equal.

25% over the last 7 days. Only omicron effecting this so worth watching. It is an online retailer so despite very positive sales, the only thing that could catch an investor out is returns.

I am looking for more information on the Valneva vaccine. Can you or someone else tell me more about it. I have checked studies, trials, and the Valneva website but it is all very ambiguous!

I would like to know:

What type of vaccine is it. mRNA, DNA?
What are the targets? Spike protein(S), Nucleoplasid (N)?

I know it’s a based in a deactivated virus but that’s about the only obvious fact I can find.

We have talked a lot about targeting the N protein, but Lindy mentioned targeting the nodule of the spike protein. I wonder how significant is this approach and is it novel?

I have often seen items on TV & print coming from university of Southampton. I think it’s easy for BBC to pick up on stories that way. Let’s not forget that Saul Faust was interviewed only last night on Outside Source talking about the booster trial. The very same Saul Faust behind this initiative.

Academically they (Southampton) are blessed with Professor Stephen Holgate who is involved with a spin out company, but we are equally blessed with Lindy, Sally, JVT, T Ball.

Like I said earlier, ‘we need to solve this abhorrent illness.’ A few days ago we had the spotlight on us. Today it’s Southampton. End of Jan or Feb and we really May have a very bright spotlight shining on us indeed. In between times it will be many others. It’s all good IMO.

I wondered what level of communication and sharing goes on behind the scenes between academic institutions etc. UOS have been at the forefront of many trials and studies for covid. Then it is a University hospital.

Also Saul Faust was the lead in the recent booster study carried out by UOS. I can see how that first hand information gleaned would prove useful. Clearly, such information has already been shared to some degree.

Seriously don't worry about other projects and candidates for Covid 19. If you understand the Scancell science then what is to worry about? I for one am embracing university of Southampton or Cambridge attempt to solve this abhorrent pandemic. After all, it does not effect us one bit. Lindy and team will get on with the job whether you guy's panic or not. I just don't see them hiding in the toilet and shaking in their boots because the UOS have a candidate too!

We have a long and fruitful road ahead of us but if people are going to dismiss other technologies and 'defend Scancell,' then you will wear yourselves out by 50p! Try and think that you still have to be hanging in by £8+
