Just to add Sir Chris Witty’s explanation of a polyvalent vaccine. By targeting multiple strains (of via the spike protein) the virus is not able to escape so easily by mutating.

Add to this that the definition of a polyvalent is 3 or more which is a tick for Scancell or if you are ultra conservative about it, it’s a coincidence!

Covidity’s second point of action is via the Nucleocapsid as others have explained.

Lindy also talked about the beta strain likely having at least one common mutation with Omicron, so an opportunity there?

My take is, Scancell are looking for a more comprehensive approach vs the mRNA first generation approach. That is what the world needs right now at least.

This is the thing with mining companies. I see as soon as GGP gets its head above water people are scrambling to grab a penny or so! It may hit 24p by mid Feb so I am hopeful.

Also anybody reading these articles that have had their interest peaked in Scancell would surely research fully. That’s the beauty of the coverage, enough to get people interested, then the research does the rest. That would take days/weeks. So expect more people to get on board over time and not just the following days following publicity.

Thanks for pointing this out Roses. I was hoping like many, that Omicron would wipe out delta and give us a break for at least some months. No confirmed evidence of that happening of course but my operative word was hoping...

Too early to say if this variant is related to the beta variant also. We have seen how fast omicron is spreading. A fast spreading more dangerous variant is very concerning.
