I have been trialling 212. I also have ii account and narked with ii charges. My view, it’s awkward to use 212. You have to limit buy/sell as you don’t get a quote when buying or selling. This can work for and against you. I will keep 212 and ii. I like ii because you can easily see what your transaction will be before you accept. That’s worth paying for as trying to get a good limit transaction on 212 takes too much time and I am a busy person

This is a high growth stock so those that have sold or not yet stepped on the escalator, the only way is up imo and maybe still not too late. £7.40 to £7.70 still possible within a very short time frame as both Greatland and gold are still some 12% down on the month. That is before pre production figures are announced in around a week. Also I have not factored in the MRE announced this week! Shaun could do an interview which would help investors truly understand what the update means but probably not required as the June quarter announcement which should explain the update in much more digestible way. Don’t forget Shaun may add some colour to the MRE when discussing production figures.

The whole world economy is in flux. Many acts yet to play out so I will sit on my hands. This weeks news along with June quarters will eventually benefit Greatland share price. Any genius trading will need a chunk of luck only to break even.

All three posters on this thread HAVE all added this last week. So you agree with us then? Buying opportunity. Your post seems to be the same sentiment as others but you are viewing it from a different direction.

If you look at the charts gold could be headed to $3,500 dollars. That should be the bottom in my opinion. However if you follow TA then if it does get to 3.5 then they would argue it could go lower or higher.

My own thoughts are I am prepared for it to go to 3.5k to 3.9k and it then grinds higher from there. Settling around 4.5k and occasionally challenging 5k. So I am waiting to top up after adding at £6.50, and £5.50.

Greatland a different story. It will be revalued against gold as the Telfer MRE is unveiled and the market begins to truly understand what it means.

Just my opinion

Only someone who doesn’t really need to build wealth would just shrug off the recent fall in gold. For those that are still trying to crawl out of the everyday slog, we are looking for answers. Learning and continual understanding is priceless, but beware the person that has the answer to everything but the explanation for nothing!

When does Greatland sell its gold? Daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly? Just wondering how connected sales are to the latest gold prices

Look at the time stamp of Elements and your original posts. Look at the time that elapsed between these posts. Then look at the share price difference and compare.

Case dismissed? I presume that Element was expressing a hope based on the share price recovery at the time? Only like the rest of us to have that thwarted.

Just for perspective. Although the dollar is being sort as a safe haven asset it is worth remembering that the US dollar has lost 96% of its purchasing power over the last 100 years…. Some would say 99%. Despite this, it works as a safe haven asset as a trade (short term) because the oil spike is likely only to be short term.

By comparison, please check how much the value has increased over the last 100 years!

The truth will set you free Spades. 212 have no trading or membership charges. Now compare them to a main platform like ii (who I rate as high quality but not keen on the price increases) All they ask is that you know what you are doing. Maybe you should give them a swerve?

And you of course do not know anything about me, how much money I have, how much I have invested and with whom.

You know zip but you guess a lot (read your own post). My suggestion to you is think things through before you post. Rely less on being reactive, presuming you are right and guessing things about me or anyone else. Most importantly stick to fact.

I have presented fact in post that may help others who are looking for a platform. It’s called accurate feedback!

I am using them as a test account because ii are becoming greedy and trying to get their mitts on my GGP profits (just go and look at new charging policy).

I only have a small amount (around £5k) with them as I say it is a test account and much larger positions else where. 80% GGP as it is trouncing most other investment options. Not had any issues whatsoever but the positions are small as stated.

Worth bearing in mind that 212 do allow ETF's and other leveraged trades such as crypto where as the main platforms do not. They will quiz you to make sure you understand what you are doing before allowing you to invest. If you fail the tests I guess they keep this on record. These are safety rails to ensure people don't get involved with high risk trades such as crypto if they don't know what they are doing.

As previously mentioned if you set up a pie then it may be constrained by the original make up so if your limit is 25% commods then appreciating assets like gold become constrained.

However, I am grateful for the feed back about 212. Was thinking about swapping out of ii to them but will research much harder before doing so or any other for that matter.

More likely you have set a limit? If you are using a pie. It will automatically rebalance as per how it was set up. Could be wrong

Yes it’s Saturday. A time to chill although I have already been to work for ninety minutes only to return home and logged on to this site to see someone left me a neatly wrapped parcel of she-ite comment on this site! No accounting for what is going on in other peoples heads. Just ignore and wish people good luck addressing their issues.

Shame really as we should be basking in GGP being at all time highs right now and much to look forward in March and June quarters.
