Well I am afraid that puts Scancell or those that new in an advantageous position; they had knowledge when the majority did not of a material event. Extremely poor imo.

What was the share price 30/08/24? Looks like it dropped from 19p to 17p. Cannot see clearly on the share graph

Auditors gobbed things up last year. Scancell seem to have done so this year when there was no need.

If I was forced to predict a share it would be 80p to £1 but could spike at over double as results are released. Much dependent on how they choose to do this and if they get funding for trials. So strangely a buy out for around £1.25 to £1.44 might be less desirable imo. Would not be surprised if we see both

The original post would point to Modi 1 which is still unproven. Not SCIB1 at 85%. So there should certainly still be interest in SCIB and if readouts for Modi (which is still early stage but could quickly catch up with CP's combo results) replicate its siblings efficacy then there is a world of opportunity.

Separately, people would do well to remember how many drug candidates are and have been in trial with checkpoints and especially Keytruda over the years. The numbers are truly staggering. The question is not only will Merck do a deal, but how good is Keytruda in a rapidly changing Immunotherapy landscape. I am absolutely respectful of its value but things are changing aren't they?

All Scancell have to do is keep on turning out excellent results. Burble is right, "our time will come." Just probably not at a time of our choosing!

or

The trial was set up wrong

I appreciate that I am being somewhat dismissive of the other drug but, speaking in broad terms without any data we have to take the helicopter view. Not least because there are so many failed drugs and treatments out there we should pick the big bones first.

Also we have to remember that getting trial approval is somewhat dependent on what the developer is suggesting can be achieved. Also that the regulator will allow trials in certain settings? So late stage and hard to treat. Especially because of a high failure rate.

Surely a developer that has a failed drug in a hard to treat setting would struggle to get trial approval in an easier setting? Unless they have mountains of cash and or evidence to show stable disease. Modi 1 could fall into this category as it appears to achieve stable disease with a possibility that it could work in combination with other drugs.

Note how quickly Scancell pivots from stable disease to another cohort in combo with checkpoints - Modi 1

For me at least this is testament to Scancells excellent foresight and thorough preparation. Its almost as if they planned it!
