If it was other, then critic would say the insiders have lost faith in the company. However, if it was ML, then it is 'legitimate' because we know he need money for lawsuit, and people love to see him severe all connection to Darktrace.

For transaction of this volume, both the buyer and seller would need to file TR-1 to notify the change in their holdings. We should know it on Monday.

Wow, 11.7M shares! That must be largest ever single transaction in Darktrace history, I reckon it is larger or about the same volume as previous institutional investor sellings.

zebbo, Darktrace is a cybersecurity company that uses AI, rather than AI company trying to find application like DeepMind. Cybersecurity should be the only thing they do for a long long time until they become profitable and grown into a mature company. I would be wary if they try to do other thing now.

The market is in downtrend today, especially after US market opened, so it was inevitable for Darktrace to fall. However, at least the morning's boost gave it a higher base to fall from, or we might be minus 8 now.

Not ARM, not Apple because they do not manufacture. ARM only license IP, and Apple outsources manufacturing.

The only single company that fits description of "electronics, retail, and manufacturing" that I can think of is Samsung. For today's new, the semiconductor manufacturer could be TSMC (Taiwan), GlobalFoundries (US) or Samsung's semiconductor manufacturing division.

Kitty, they are different companies. The one in RNS is new customer which is electronic, retail and manufacturing (think Samsung), and only 1-million dollar, so it is likely a trial. The one in the morning is old customer in manufacturing (like TSMC) that has been using Darktrace for a number of years, found it to be good, and decided to renew.
