Amazing the number of people who have never contributed to this board previously, who suddenly appear just to let the rest of us know that they have bought at the absolute low, and will soon inform us that they sold at the absolute high. Extraordinary abilities - clairvoyant almost. You would think they had better things to do with their time/money, since they already know the numbers of tomorrows lottery.

Cheers Jtan - and you are right, it is a very depressing day - not just here, but with my other shares like RR and LLoyds. It's especially disappointing after such a positive start to the year. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking back in early January, that after such a rubbish couple of years due to Covid, things were finally improving, and 2022 would be a good year.
Then again, the inhabitants of Mariupol probably thought the same thing. Suddenly my problems don't seem so bad.

Then again, if it gets to 132p later, I suppose that is technically a rise TOWARDS 200p. But even that can hardly be guaranteed at this point. Oh well...

Lately, when the Dow, and USA airlines have risen, we barely get a whiff of it here. Today, the Dow is down 3%, and USA airlines are down by about 5%. I bet we get the full effect of that.

fordm - I don't know what you do for a living, but whatever it is, you are wasted there - you definitely should have been a careers counsellor. Seriously considering your suggestion, it sounds right up my street - huge profit margins and short working hours - the holy grail of every worker. Only problem might be that old adage from 'The Wire' "...never get high on your own supply...".

PottyTime - LOL. Thanks for that little snapshot of your domestic situation.

Oil - good posts this morning, and I certainly admire your optimism. Problem is that this "things are about to get better" narrative is one that seems to be lasting forever with this share. There always seems to be another problem just around the corner (Covid/Omicron/Ukraine/oil prices/inflation/staff shortages etc. etc.), and every time things appear to be turning positive, turns out that they aren't. The conflict in Ukraine ( and the knock-on effects of that), is something that I just can't see a quick, or positive, outcome to. Then there's all the other relevant issues (eg. Chinese lockdowns), not to mention a substantial debt pile accrued over the last 2 years.
I'm not deliberately trying to be negative here - I'm a holder , and sincerely hope that I'm wrong - it's just that the last couple of years have had a rather sobering effect on me, and left me somewhat twitchy when it comes to the price here (and elsewhere). A few bits of good news for a change could soon send us heading north again, just not sure when, or if, they are going to arrive.

"Hopefully next week will be a better on for us". If I had a pound for every time I had thought that, I would now be lying on a beach in the Seychelles, surrounded by several bikini clad Lithuanian pole-dancers, and swigging chilled bottles of Dom Perignon.
Unfortunately, I am not, although I do still dream about it on a regular basis.

Back down into the 130's - honestly thought we had left that behind. Down 13p in less than 2 days. FFS.
Despite my mini-rant yesterday, I am still here, but but resigned to a lower exit price. Been racking my brain to think of a new moneymaking scheme now that I have given up on that happening here (or in any share, to be honest). Thinking of heading to the dog track, but admit that I know f**k all about dogs, so if anyone out there has any tips for me, it would be much appreciated.
PS - fordm - will still hang around here for the occasional bit of biscuit- related banter. Can't help noticing that while you were away over Easter, the price here rose rapidly, but now that you are back, has dropped like the proverbial stone. Maybe you should take more holidays?

Scotty - not disagreeing, but how many times now have we been down the same path, always with the promise of better times just around the corner. Good luck to you, but I've had enough.

Just come in and seen what's happened today. Have to say that it's pretty much the last straw for me. Just last Friday, I posted (with the price at £1.51) that I wasn't going to sell with the hope of buying back cheaper, as I thought we might finally be on a relatively consistent upward trend. How dull am I? The never-ending stream of bad news and headwinds around this share beggar belief. The second you think you are getting past one issue, another one rears its head. How many times can you think you have turned a corner, only to be let down again.
"Every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in" said Michael Corleone. I know the feeling.
Not selling right now, but not hanging on for the mythical £2.00 either. If it gets to £1.55 ish, I'm out, and I'm not coming back.

Scotty - I accept that, and it's not like I expect a direct correlation between the two . Obviously they are all separate companies with their own individual issues, and the same is true to a degree of the USA and the UK. But it's also true that they are all part of the same industry, and affected by a lot of the same global issues - Covid restrictions, oil prices etc. so it's not unreasonable to expect a certain degree of parity. When one is personally invested, it's not always possible to be entirely objective.
