fordm - don't start me off about the censorship here and elsewhere - it literally drives me bonkers, Did you really just have the words for the horrific restrictions we went through, and the name of a country, censored? What is going on -where does this lunacy come from? I recently had the word for the front of an aeroplane where the flight deck is censored. Where does this end?
As for Covid - another topic to make my blood boil (the list is quite long). Sat outside the pub yesterday afternoon, quite a few people, no more than 30/40 years old, walking past wearing masks in an almost empty street!! Words fail me. As for Ardern, Trudeau etc, - I think they should be facing criminal charges. I'm not even joking. The collateral damage from l o c k downs is already catastrophic - and we haven't even felt the worst of it yet. Young people in particular have been truly reamed. And while I'm not comparing the two directly, some of the propaganda we have suffered over the last 2 years would not be out of place in Russia, or even North korea.
Completely agree with the "starvation today" quote. I really hate that "nobody's safe till everyone's safe" b o l l oc k s. The idea that you spend a pile of money to vaccinate people in some impoverished village, who have almost no chance of dying from Covid, just to "protect" ourselves, when that money spent on clean drinking water/ anti-malarial drugs, could have an exponentially more beneficial effect. is deeply offensive to me.
Anyway, Covid is now so deadly that even a 95 year old woman like the queen only suffers mild symptoms from it.
Anyway, even though I'm only just getting warmed up here , I'm going to stop now. Haven't had a good Covid rant for a while now - feel much better. Fingers crossed for the share price in the coming week.

Blue -Just been reading an article about financial/bond markets etc. and much as I don't profess to understand a lot of it, the jist of the article was that basically there is a lot of money that could be looking for a new home. Let's hope some of it finds its way to IAG.

fordm - somewhat confused by that last paragraph; no idea what a 'znuni' is, and not quite sure about the swamp reference either. At least you are not claiming that a 'Jaffa' is a biscuit rather than the correct classification of cake. Don't know what category Hobnobs fall into - flapjack possibly, unless there is a category called "pretentious, tasteless garbage", which would clearly be the correct one.
On another topic, I have a small holding in Rolls Royce, and still not really sure what happened there yesterday afternoon. Not complaining - just hope that the price holds on Monday. One of todays papers (can't recall which one) had the cause of the sudden rise as "bargain hunting". If that's true, what odds a similar thing happening here at some point? A one day rise 0f 20% would be most welcome. Fingers (and testicles) crossed.

No offence guys, but can we stop the "Ftse drops 25%" thread headline. I just came back onto this site, and seeing that headline gave me severe chest palpitations for a minute, before I remembered it was a Saturday, and realised that the Ftse actually hadn't dropped by 25%.

Anyway, AC777, you said earlier that " fair value of IAG is around £3 ". Wrong - the value (financially at least) of anything, is what somebody else is prepared to pay for it. That means that the current value of an IAG share is about £1.38.
Hopefully that will change in the future, but for now, that is what it is.
Anyway, time to do something better with my time on a Friday evening - like drink vodka or masturbate. Or possibly both. Simultaneously.

Anybody have any idea what's going with Rolls? And before certain people start *****ing that this isn't the Rolls board - I am well aware of that - but these two shares have plenty in common. and quite often quite closely shadow each other price wise. Anyway, the Rolls price jumped by about 15% in the last 20 minutes of trading today, so I'm just curious.
