RE: Who values public companies?11 Aug 2021 18:23
@porky. My question would be 'How as a company are you going to create value for shareholders, who you have sorely let down this year. Not just wooly comments such as we will maximise long term shareholder returns, we want to know specifics of how they will make the company valuation reflect its fundamentals" Will their be dividends, will there be aquisitions, will there be a move away from the Bourse, share buybacks etc. Could also be interesting to ask why do they see NCYT being valued at 200m with its cash and earnings levels, get them to justify how they let the price fall so much with no support. Could also ask them if their have been any firm takeover approaches, and if so why were they not rns'd to shareholders (given Graham had said there were). I doubt they will answer these of course, but it will highlight the level of disquiet their investors feel about being let down by them. Another loaded one could be, "How do you expect any AGM resolutions to be passed positively given you've cost investors huge sums this year"
