It's been the opposite, since mid February ARB has tended to amplify or leverage swings in BTC (both overbuying and overselling) https://imgur.com/ncqksEs

The problem seems to be on Halifax/iWeb, it's not just ARB shares, possibly following yesterday's maintenance, but could just be volume after platform being down for two days.

It’s worth keeping in mind that the SP was not following BTC when it was at 230. It was tracking BTC up to about SP 143-188 (13-14 February) then it shot up much faster than BTC. Then it came down much faster than BTC. I’ve no doubt it’s lower than it should be now and little doubt you’ll see 230 again this year but if it had simply tracked BTC it would probably be somewhere in the 170-190 at the moment. Hopefully it will become less volatile as the business grows.

Low carbon mining has been core to ARB's business model, not just Canada hydro but Texas solar (also it's much cheaper power). The RNS is old news re-packaged quite rightly by the board to emphasise this confidence and USP at a moment of market uncertainty.

No pain, no gain. It's the only way forward for the share and bringing them in requires both a positive forward view and a low enough entry price opportunity to de-risk. Painful for PIs in the process but hopefully there will be some stabilising influence with more sticky fingers in the pot. Looking at trades, PIs tend more often to show buys in round number currency value and institutional orders in round numbers of shares (although obviously that's not any kind of rule of thumb to rely on). Overall volume is still nowhere near the February gold rush.

$1.73bn in long BTC futures liquidations yesterday, and quite a few today, that should clear the log jam a bit anyway

The monthly round of BTC futures liquidations has been fairly regular, and then the landing zone for options expiries at the end of each month. If it's going to peak again this month it will likely happen between now and then, perhaps end of next week or thereafter? The new institutional index investors also need to load up with ARB in similar timeline, if they haven't all jumped on the train before today.
