I don't think it helps to talk about 'strong' and 'weak' shareholders like that. Anyone who's lost money on AIM share drilling projects knows there's always risk, however well assessed and managed. There's nothing at all wrong with slicing/trading shares and it can take just as much 'strength' to stick to a trading plan and keep selling at an appropriate time. There's always room for all investment strategies in the market and rule 1 remains, never love a share more than your capital :-)

Like Spike says, it was still rising yesterday and dipped off a high opening, which was quickly sold. It'll probably build back up now.

The geology and helium migration hasn't changed, in fact now improved mapping knowledge of both. On that basis the original NAV risk notes still stand, and with perhaps improved odds across the three basins as a whole. There are reasonable funds in the budget. The downside correction was also considerably over-reactive, so I wouldn't be at all surprised by a return to 12-15p at this stage and then rising into the drill programme.

Anything's possible but the speculation remains just that at this point. I didn't interpret the interview wording the same way myself and I thought he referred to a rig provider but it could be interpreted in various ways. I think the most significant observation was the confirmation of widespread anomalies and the potential to package the three basins as separate projects (which creates options to sell separate rights, or to capitalise one to develop the next, etc).

I think DM has always worded his statements very well, speaking as a geologist and as a CEO. He has never promised free gas flow or commercial extraction prematurely. He was naturally optimistic about the seismic data and about prolific gas shows, and it's reasonable he'd be excited now by the more widespread helium anomalies showing in the new data. There's no doubt the helium reserves are there, and widespread. Obviously people who are unfamiliar with wildcat exploration drilling need to understand the general risks involved in any one-off drill but if they can get four or five well targeted drills the chances are substantially greater, especially with access to heavier drill kit. But these risks are all set out in the published analysis notes. The underlying risk is whether their funds last as long as the drilling odds, although if they have identified a larger drilling partner then that risk would also be reduced.

HE1 trades in London on SETSqx, so in effect it is not continuously pricing in a liquid market but trading through a series of five auctions during the day (MMs also have more influence in this mechanism). When volume is high it takes longer to uncross the auction prices, hence the extension.

All good. Did sound for a moment like they might consider dividing the three basins into discrete projects (maybe they can future finance by selling on the separate rights to one or other if the first is proven)

By 'going nowhere' you mean up 50% in a week?

sure, building completion in March, commissioning starts in Q2. By that point we certainly need some clarity on future phases of development into 2023
