Not sure if this is even relevant, but I came across the plans that the UAE government have to develop one of the largest solar panel facilities in the world, resulting in an increase of 1,000Mw of energy by 2020. https://www.dewa.gov.ae/en/customer/innovation/renewable-energy/facts-about-the-solar-park Surely a facility of this size will require a storage solution. It’s unlikely that BMN are involved with this project, but given the scale of the plans, it’s clear that the GCC are looking at solar / renewable energy climate. Maybe the dawn of the VRFB utilisation becoming a mainstay in energy storage is a lot closer than we thought.

Even a passing comment about storing the energy would be enough to prick the ears of the sponsors, flick through their ‘who’s who’ section of their meeting notes and do some research..

Interesting to see that some of the sponsors of the forum are high profile banking institutions, including JP Morgan and Standard Bank. The way FM can get hold of a crowd at keep their attention should hopefully raise the profile of BMN, could this be our moment to take a largo-esk step forward?

All things being equal, you’d like to think the RNS will help maintain the 30p SP, and FM should be only to happy for this to happen.

Some interesting updates on Eskom, I might be over considering this but mentioning specifically that the two engineers are from SA could be a subtle hint towards the fact that we’re harvesting the skill set of the SA work force and that we will continue to do so. If the support for BMN is maintained. Such a positive spin for Eskom, SA companies being sourced, with SA expertise. Just the sort of story that a government trying to secure an election might wish to capitalise on

Well done Milkman, delighted to say we’ve made the 30p club. A great opportunity to get to 50p by end of December, if as suspected on this board the strike gave the opportunity to complete/progress the upgrade elements that require downtime. Could prove to be a stroke of luck over the medium term. Having only been a holder since March, I wasn’t aware of the charity aspect of the corbine cup, what a truly kindhearted gesture my donation will be paid in later today. Now, where do we go from here? anyone feel that we can shift trough the gears and get to mid 30s comfortably by mid October. Nickderby, keeping the price low ahead of hearing the outcome of the meeting today maybe? Would be a tremendous day if we could finish in the 24/25p area, with production resuming tomorrow. Not able to fully translate Afrikaans to English, but there is an employee on social media who reported on 11th September that rubber bullets were being used. Easily found when searching for Vametco Strike on Facebook. Maybe we’ve seen the worst, and we’re now negotiating the FM way, hence the duration of the meeting.

Also, not sure if this is even possible, but would the BOD be in a position to offer an short term incentive linked production targets for H2? Could be a good way of getting back on track production wise, and engage with the employees to affirm the BOD’s commitment to sticking to promises and the long term goal the employees have of the share deal. Just a thought..

So, if the meeting between employees and managers is happening today, anyone fancy a 4:15 RNS confirming production will resume tomorrow and we’re progressing talks of the employee share program with immediate effect? The ideal cherry on the cake for today one would think.
