Pdub, absolutely nailed it. Have to say, my post this week about production in H2 being potentially lower because of the strike is completely irrelevant. H2 will make more money than H1 for BMN, and there is no other way around it. Delighted for all holders, LTH or otherwise. the rocket is approaching the launch pad.

I can hear the MM’s crying their eyes out. The Sojitz buy out has been completed at the perfect time; shareholders being battered over the last 2 weeks, MM’s rinsing us blind and now they’re left holding their own on the dance floor as the lights come on. The reslly positive thing that is clear from the RNS is that we are engaging with the AMCU at a national level, this sounds like a local union issue who aren’t fully aware of the dialogue ongoing higher up the chain. Sounds like FM has told the AMCU that the local office aren’t helping us get to a deal here, so get them to do one. Well done FM

Can expect an RNS @ 11 today? If FM has worked with Vametco to resolve the strike and pointed them in the right direction, that would be a tremendously positive position for himself to be in.

Pdub, sorry you make a valid point and are correct. We are still selling, my poor choice of words. My inference was that if we aren’t producing (temporarily), then aren’t generating the product to sell at a later date. Again, sorry for the choice of words. Knuttie, massiveray, whilst I have only been held BMN since March, I have only seen the jumps forward in SP, and decided to join the board to add opinion. Sorry if my views are deemed to be negative, I certainly hold as much hope for the long term opportunity for sustained profit as much as you (even at significantly lower holding than you), but I can’t say the current situation fills me with confidence, unless resolved quickly. Comments echoed by other ‘senior’ members of the board in terms of resolving this quickly.

Great point Mitch, if we are being forced to pay something Evraz agreed to but didn’t, or didn’t disclose to us when we purchased, we should be able to claim it back, surely?

Unless this is a payment beyond the agreed figures and the workers see the share price / sale price and want a better deal in line with the results of the business? Considering they potentially agreed their deal when the prices were a lot lower, can’t blame them for wanting to profit with the rising vanadium prices

My ‘evidence’ of the strike not being resolved is probably as strong any argument for the strike being resolved, on the basis that the workers are still not back in work and we don’t expect to see them until 14th. Whoever is right, those on the side of the fence that it’s a minor blip and has been resolved or those on the still not resolved and not at work side of the fence, we need it resolving and the workers will need it resolving. BMN and BE are well placed to make good money, but only if they’re mining the product. That’s all I can say, with 100% confidence. And right now, we are at best 50:50.

I’m not sure if I’m reading this correctly (great info though!), but are the locals saying they want to cash in their 20k shares and have cash on the hip, not shares?

Ophidian, whilst I respect your comments and generally positive outlook on BMN, I don’t think we can get away from the facts on this one. Yes, we have a truly wonderful product that when mined, generates a lot of money, (which is probably Why the locals want a bit of it, and deserve it IMO), but at the moment, we have an RNS stating that the board ‘urge’ to workers back to work and continue the discussions. Not, the workers are back and we are holding discussions. There is a huge difference between urge and back to work. we can keep talking about how much of a cash cow or elephant BMN is, but at the moment, the milkman hasn’t got anything to deliver because the maids have got the placards out in support of the maids down the road. Right now, unless we have concrete evidence or an RNS that we are producing again, we need to be realistic and see that we might not hit the H2 results, and the SP is reacting on the back of the strikes. Rightly or wrongly

Good point, but unless it states clearly that the workers are back through the gates and working, it casts doubt. The police ‘urge’ for calm during riots, but that doesn’t mean the riots are over, does it.

No RNS about resolving the strike, so let’s assume it’s another day without production. Another day of MM’s ripping the p1ss out of the share price, let’s hope for a good day.. and an RNS!

Might be a stupid question FB, apologise if so, but would an electrolyte have a value at the end of a given period? 10 years for example. Whereas a sale and lease back is perfect for a fixed asset (a building for example), would the same benefits apply, knowing that the electrolyte would degrade at some point in time? Or would reduction in future value be calculated into the agreement / rental costs. Would you anticipate the lessee has the option to purchase or is required to purchase the electrolyte at the end of the period?
