@Onejohn Virtually everything on here is speculation mixed with a very heavy dose of optimism. "Maestro" is touted as an expert here but has so far failed to answer the question of what he's been right about. You will then find a gaggle of sycophants who want/need him to be right that they will defend anything he says in light of the fact that this share is virtually finished and our investments are currently worthless. As ever, I continue to say I will *fully* apologise if this turns out to be wrong and we get anything like anywhere near our money back.
@"rebel" Trump-esque as usual, completely avoiding anything which instantly exposes everything you say as baseless. Instead you're coming out with typical, ad hominem, nothing-but-hot-air attacks. where have I tripped over even once? You got any evidence for that? Speaking of evidence, let's get to some *facts* shall we? You've probably avoided all questions put to you, what, five, six, seven times now? I can go back and dig out them out again if you have anything which might actually prove me wrong. You know, basis instead of just empty words. You ready to answer them yet? No? Why sir, you shock me! Just like Noor - you always fail to show when it counts ;) (And all our shares are *still* totally and utterly worthless).
@rebel100 Are you really, honestly trying to repeat banging that drum over again? The last time you did I asked you over and over and over very specific questions about the validity of your position - you failed to answer every single one. That's pretty much the very definition of blinding following the position you want to be true (aka whatever maestro tells you that you want to hear). Much as I've just advocated everyone's right to post here, you really are just wasting everyone's time even further if you've nothing new to say.
@Fregatr Exactly the point I was making. Only allowing people a black and white choice of either: "Not moving on" = Posting here "Moving on" = Not posting here ..is intellectually dishonest. Anyone, as you well know, is allowed to post here. It's not exclusive to those who want to pretend there's a decent chance of this stock ever being worth a damn again. I hope you'll support that from here on out as you seem to have here.
@Fregatr Are you not able to tell the difference between someone having literally moved on from something, and someone who's moved on from the prospect of thinking that these shares are worth anything more than pointless discussions on a messageboard? maestro keeps saying things like how the decision was wrong, unfair etc. but it's the decision that counts. The tribunal members were there. You weren't. I wasn't. "Maestro" certainly wasn't either. All this footstomping about how corrupt ROI is, how Noor's evidence should have swung it etc. etc. etc. is meaningless speculation - what matters is the *decision*, just as jaf1948 has said. Anything else amounts to little more than well-written versions of "IT'S NOT FAIR - WAAAAAHHHH!"
Well said Uncanny, but for one thing - this *is* on topic. Maestro is speaking as, and being treated as, an authority on this subject. He's being irresponsible - accidentally or otherwise - by making false claims and providing false hopes. He has nothing to be pulled up on if he's just stating the facts. Just sharing opinions would be fine if people didn't really need to move their lives on from this and accept all but certain defeat - even in light of a small possible positive outcome YEARS down the line. And "We will win in the end!" is not a fact by any possible definition. As someone who comes here for *genuine facts* and developments on the case, I (and others) have every reason to complain when it's polluted with anything else.
So no evidence whatsoever then outside of the point I very clearly made earlier today: "[M]ore than one person is now questioning my authority [and I don't like that]" does not comprise a sufficient answer. I can assure you that I at least have, and ever will have, only one login on here. So if the basis for your accusations there is as strong as your assessment of the stock, then we're all absolutely f***ed on ever getting any money back from CHL.
Going to ask you again: Where is your evidence that anyone on here, myself or otherwise, is posting under multiple accounts? (Note: "Because more than one person is now questioning my authority [and I don't like that]" does not comprise a sufficient answer).
Again, that's FUD. You, as rebel did, got angry when some reality was pointed out to you. Address the argument, don't make ad hominem attacks. As well as claiming that this is all going to be well in the end, happily taking the weaker minded with you, you also claimed we're all the same person. You said you "know" that. Why don't you share your evidence? Or is it just because multiple people are saying things you don't like to hear, which question your knowledgeable status on here? Again: Just like another poster asked, what have you actually prophecised on here that turned out to be true?
"Blitzed, Ivory, Jamie414, i know you are the same person." A warning to everyone: Beware false prophets (and all their false profits, too). I can't say for sure that the ruling won't get annuled, or even if it would be worth our time celebrating if it was. But Maestro has publicly said it *will* all be worth it in the end. And because he's *finally* being challenged, he's trying to claim that all dissenters are the same person. So that's one thing I do know he's said that's categorically untrue. If you're going to make claims Maestro, you need to back them up. The burden of proof is on you - that's how logic works, I'm afraid. Otherwise it's just sleight of hand on your part. Finger pointing, blame, FUD. All very Trump-esque tactics. To everyone else, give up your false hopes and if anything more comes of this share, it'll just be a nice surprise. I've already said I'll apologise if I'm wrong. For now at least, your money's gone. The only one gaining from all this right now is Maestro. Maybe he's called that because up till now, he's been able to play everyone here like a fiddle, dancing to his tune.
Your mask has slipped with these last few posts maestro, where previously you were given the benefit of the doubt. You have neither right nor basis to claim that "we will prevail at the end." Not only is it irresponsible but it's also completely unfounded. As you were challenged to answer before, when have you actually been right about anything? There are people on here who'll give up their logic for the sake of more hope and you are leading them on blindly. Except now, in some kind of Trump-lite display, because multiple people are getting wise to this and calling you out, you're claiming conspiracy and saying we MUST all the same person. How would you like us to prove that we're not? We couldn't, and you know that - but doesn't it provide a lovely distraction from those tough questions you're being asked? Once again, my offer stands: £2k for my shares. Pay up. After all, you'll prevail in the end - right? Right? "Maestro"?
Two can play that game, sir: So how about you give me £2k, since that's what they cost me and you're convinced (or at least, allowing others to be) that they're going to be worth something in the future. Shall I send you my bank details?
Let me be clear - I've said before, and I meant it then just as I do now, that if I'm wrong and we get anywhere near a decent result, I will happily type out an apology on my knees. Until then, your hopes - like these shares - are worthless. It's important to remember that because some people will have lost thousands upon thousands because of this outcome and they'll need to start rebuilding their lives rather than be given false hope.
Ivory - I've logged back in just to upvote your post. How much longer are some of you going to keep swimming in complete delusion? "This will go to £1-2 a share!" "Noor is the weak link!" "Happy Christmas everyone!" "Oh wait, we lost but.. ROI are corrupt!" "We've read the award, that'll save us!" "Autopen autopen autopen.." "An annulment is coming soon and then we'll get all our money back!" "Nice one maestro, I bet the tribunal - or the company whose lives almost literally depend on this going our way - haven't considered what you've found themselves!" Over and over and over with unfounded optimism. You believe all this because you want to, not because it's realistic. W A K E U P ! If these international corporations can't get a good outcome for us, then some Nancy Drew amateur detective work on a forum almost certainly doesn't have a hope in hell. Your money is guaranteed but gone. So is mine. Accept it. It's highly irresponsible to get other peoples' hopes up when they could be moving on.
So basically you don't want to see anything that doesn't sync up with what you want to believe? It's almost like that's exactly what I've just been saying you're doing, isn't it? (Also, to answer your question: Yes. Exactly that. Yours and others too).
@jamesss I'm going to again raise the prospect of confirmation bias. Confirmation bias is where, instead of trying to determine the true position of a thing, you automatically dismiss any research which doesn't fit the view you want or already hold, and welcome without question anything that does. I've said before that I'll type out an apology literally while on my knees if I'm wrong about this. But it is very rare to see anything on this forum which suggests shares in CHL are a lost cause. Yet there is overwhelming evidence (look at how much your shares are worth right now, for one!) that a lost cause is EXACTLY what it is. And every time you or someone else gets your hopes up, the gap between you getting your money back and the reality of the situation gets wider and wider and wider.
@"rebel" Aside from being utterly unable to answer any direct points or questions that are raised to and being reduced to doing nothing more than calling people names.. is the ability to read simple sentences escaping you now? (Along with a sense of irony at what you've just accused me of) xD
@maestro1 I think they're going for whatever they can. They're pretty much f***ed with regards to anything else, aren't they? And they did happily pursure the main case despite all the questionable judgement that has now come to light since all those chasing £s (including myself) have found out that no, actually, you can't just selectively read what you want to and assume that there's going to be gold at the end of this here rainbow.
