Thanks all, appreciate the info. Yet another disappointing turn of events having invested in this share, with haphazard outcomes and failures to come through on promises and expectations.
For anyone who says "well that's share trading," that doesn't make it acceptable or palatable. I'll be likely to keep my shares I think, and write-off what I'd planned to do with the payout they'd loyally kept us waiting on for months.
Thanks and that's pretty much what I thought it'd be. So is there any distinction between the buyback and the tender offer? Or are they the same thing?
And what happened to the once-off payment per share that was mooted last year, then bumped to early this year, and then..? It was supposed to be around 10-12p per share iirc. Please tell me this isn't in place of that!
Thank you for this and it definitely proves I was only sent the first half. However this is still very lengthy and quite confusing. I only own 1,906 shares so I doubt it's worth getting financial advice on. Any further pointers on where to get help on what to decide would be deeply appreciated - but absolutely not expected. Thanks again.
..and my execution company have only decided to send me the second half of them :)
I know there's a Share Buyback Programme and a Tender Offer, but *I don't actually know what the hell they are!*
:D
Would someone be very kind to summarise and explain? I'm missing out on all the fun of knowing where I might finally get some value out of these shares!
Thanks Kooba. So if that's true, I can't see how the contents of the letter weren't a touch premature. I don't see how I can blame my platform holder for this unless they've massively misread Nano's position.
Maybe I've just missed the posts having checked out of this damned share after the settlement - but what the hell is going on with this supposed return of capital to shareholders?
I was sent a letter by my platform telling me that Nano would send funds to the value of between 0.10 and 0.12 per share (wow!) on 19th July. But I've now been told that as of 24th July, Nano aren't even doing that and no final decision has been taken.
So even the small saving grace I thought I'd get isn't even necessarily coming! Is this a bribe to "win" over shareholders ahead of the vote?
@Mattyboy
Your "jokes" are, of course, hilarious - a regular bboard clown. But you don't know any of the people you're posting too and supposedly innocuous comments ended up with innocent people dying on January 6th in the US. Mock all you want - words have power.
No matter what's happened to the SP, even suggesting the incitement to violence as a joke is disgusting and as a fellow shareholder I utterly denounce it. The vast majority of shareholders are better than this and I'll ask you not to do so again. It looks bad on us all.
It really would be nice at this stage if a great number of people on here would stop talking - it's just bickering and embarrassing everyone who still holds share. It happened, get over it and wait for the next stage whatever that may be.
@Nanogeddon
So let me get this straight: The media organisation with no corporate owner, with more oversight than any other and with more government pressure they continually resist than any other, and who also have to provide balance according to a charter which virtually no other organisation has, are also *somehow* able to be the biggest liars in this country too?
Worse than News Corp? Worse than Reach PLC? Worse than the Daily Mail group?
Put anyone in front of a computer with the ability to say anything they want, to people who will never be able to share their reaction in person, and the average quality of communication is outright guaranteed to drop.
This would be nothing more than guessing and has caused damage in the past so after everything that's happened, it won't be helpful to throw numbers around that are mainly based little more than on hopes and fears.
..whilst waking up to an amazing result this morning would've been transformational for me personally, if the outcome Nanoco has achieved was deemed as disappointing, the SP hasn't faltered anywhere near as much as I would've expected.
