The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Short and sweet:

Any update on your forecast here, TB1872, from pre-consolidation days?
4p on full production
6-7p on first dividend
8-9p on news of full production of Marketco and a 100%+ mark up is revealed
12p + on realisation of 2nd mine
15p + on extended LOM at Cononish
20p + on Scotgolds expansion into Europe ( time dependent )
Anything possible if the source is found at depth
Anything possible if Sron Garbh has been preserved at depth
Today's update seems to be regarded by the market less favourably than the other recent monthly updates. Does it come across as "jam definitely some time in the future" rather than the much firmer "jam tomorrow"? Might we see an interview with Proactive later?
Frequency of updates: changing a winning formula isn't unique to SGZ management but it is a head scratcher.
When are we going to get the update about exploration?
Come on, Scotgold!
How low would the share price be if the company wasn't being run a by competent management team which cared about shareholder value?
Lol.
Dress it up how you wish but what a farce this has turned out to be.
One more thing:
Moving whatever administrative functions are still nominally based in Australia out of there would be good news given the atrocities being carried out there at the moment in the name of protecting health.
I know RG explained why it wasn't a top priority a few months ago but it would be reassuring to know in the current circumstances that SGZ is moving its remaining affairs out of there and will shortly have NOTHING to do with Australia.
Even a comparatively small buy couldn't go through immediately online earlier.
Good to have some positive vibes again.
Come on Scotgold!
Do you mean the one that the book is about?
https://www.amazon.com/COVID-19-Great-Reset-Klaus-Schwab/dp/2940631123
I reckon it must be a while since more than 34,000 shares were traded in the first hour of trading.
What gives?
Wow!
Has someone just successfully turned the ignition on the new truck or something?
Long may it continue.....
I thought the whole lot is to be paid back on or around 5th November - a memorable date.
Someone here will have the definitive figures.
I alluded to that a few weeks ago: if there is now sufficient money in the kitty to pay it all back AND to hire lots of new staff, then the promise of jam tomorrow seems as real as it ever has.
Come on, Scotgold!!
It looks like someone has thrown in the towel. Well over 60,000 sold but the share goes up - odd.
The promise of jam tomorrow wasn't enough. Imagine that! (Might not have been one investor, of course.)
What are we due next? Only the RNS at the beginning of October?
"30g of gold hidden in every tonne"
Aren't the calculations based on much less than that?
In the final episode of the series, one of the miners said that he reckoned there was more than 14g per tonne.
But 30g?
Surely, that's brilliant, no?
At the time of writing you'd get 69.2 pence for your shares so today's increase is better than is being shown at the moment.
We're no longer at the start of September - has the second truck arrived?

A couple of years back the FT used one of my favourite headlines ever:
"The Rare Romance of Scottish Gold"
A very nice play on words re the usage of 'rare' in Scotland.
I thought in terms of painting a picture of a golden future the interview could hardly have been better.
Better quality extractions than anticipated, a new plan, presumably with even more attractive figures coming very soon, new equipment arriving imminently, ramping up staff levels and lots and lots of gold to mine elsewhere in the vicinity with a decision on where to start first due comparatively soon.
Yes, indeed - the promise of jam tomorrow seems as real as it ever has.
But......"Everone's happy" - investors now into their second decade here having seen no financial return on their investment might not describe themselves as happy.
Come on, Scotgold!
Summarised again here: https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/business/3435482/scotgold-shares-spike-as-it-cashes-in-on-production-for-the-first-time-in-august/
You'd have to hope that today's news will whet the appetite of some more newspapers and magazines and entice them to do write-ups and/or interviews. Photos of nice shiny bars of gold would add a certain lustre to any story.
Will we see an interview with Proactive later on today?
