Apart from three or four times when the share price miraculously climbed all too briefly, the stark reality is that it's always been like this. 10 solid years of disappointment with a stagnant or falling share price: all while sitting on a an actual goldmine with permission to get at supposedly huge deposits elsewhere.

To talk of silver linings after seeing yet another catastrophic fall might be misplaced but if there is one then maybe it's how fast the share price did rise from 90p to £1.60 on what turned out to be next to nothing. Shergar springs to mind for some reason but how fast and by how much could it rise on substantive news and tangible proof of actual progress?

The interview: a creditable performance given it's a listed company and he's very new. Good to see and hear him I suppose but other than that it was a waste of time. I didn't get the impression the interviewer was the right person for an interview 'at depth'.

Bah, humbug.

Nothing has happened that has sustainably benefited the share price. Better?

Facts and progress on the ground are critical and must take priority but as soon as the restrictions allow, an effort must be made to improve sentiment: site visits by journalists or maybe a virtual tour of the mine online....whatever.

What happened to the £600,000 grant that was touted as being available for several years?

What kind of offer will be put to the directors and when? Will it involve more dilution? It will be a remarkable deal that is equally advantageous to both parties.

Was the company's Twitter account password held by somebody who left?

No questions about the financing but it's all sounding really positive for jam tomorrow.

After the RNS-induced catalepsy I am left pondering:

1) When will the new CEO be comfortable enough to do interviews with the likes of Proactive?
2) We will get new information "...as soon as the Company has completed the review of mine place for Cononish." Have we been told previously how long that review is scheduled to take? How many deadlines have we already missed with this one?
3) Short-term financing from the Directors. A positive announcement in the next few days would be great assuming there really is no further bad news to come - wouldn't that be us over the final hurdle? The directors "they say no" doesn't bear thinking about.

4) From a post below "we've hit the wall" - more often than a squash ball.

When new positions were referred to months ago, I did think that that was strange to the extent that we're not producing anything to sell so where was the money going to come to pay for them and for how long.

When the axe falling was referred to on this board I thought it must refer to these positions but if SGZ is still trying to fill these new positions they must be either very confident of the future (double-plus good) or bonkers.

If the former, where did the axe go?

Much more illuminating to speculate here than to read anything from the company itself.

Huge trades appearing randomly, apparent cancellations, everything seemingly is a sell and yet the price seems robust at this rather sad low level.

Not me and every day I think again that that ship has sailed only to see the price rise still further.

I don't think it's for me but I wish had thought the opposite a few years ago - like everyone else.

Being heavily invested here has been frustrating enough in its own right but when one thinks of the opportunity cost - the amount that might have been earned investing elsewhere - it gets extremely difficult to countenance.

Good luck to our new CEO. He seemingly has his work cut out for him both at the mine and, shock horror, in appeasing the normally unflappable long term holders who thus far have shown the patience of Job.
