LSE03,
Reversal of the SNIP was much-touted a few years ago and would have added considerable ammunition to the INFA cause; certainly I was excited at the prospect.
Loosegoose,
"Expects to receive...", hence my earlier comment re hoping for a more transformative bounce after 28 (or however many more) days. If a 4.5p bump is all we can expect from such news, all LTHs are beyond redemption.
Also rather misinformative to state that Islandmagee lies at the end of the SNIP, without pointing out that the gas only flows in the wrong direction for INFA, though I will put that down to lazy journalism, rather than the usual JW disingenuity.
oldtramp,
I am fully in favour of hydrogen, my point was that storing H at Islandmagee would require mountains of new licensing and analysis. JW again trying to take advantage of something that is not (yet) there. Plenty of gas in INFA, shame it's coming out of the directors' backsides...
Speedy_Gonzalez, I have always posted in favour of Islandmagee, it is that in which I invested, not defunct shipyards. Currently I am down approximately 75%.
Good to see some focus on IM, although any talk of hydrogen is premature at best, disingenuous at worst. Just get those caverns excavated and filled with gas!
Speedy_Gonzalez,
I seem to recall that you sold out of INFA?
I suspect they are beavering away at another placing, but are struggling for takers, even at what would have to be sub-10p. Prior to the last placing at 30p, at which time the share price was 42p, I questioned who would buy this cr@p. Clearly someone did, then lost a lot of money (and, probably, their job).
Who would buy now? For this reason, I don't think they will get away with another placing; as I posted in April, I believed the next placing would be the last.
It's all down to the politicians now.
Pokerchips,
Have you ever lived in Dubai?!
Did I miss it, or were shares not issued in August as payment for Appledore?
Rather material, methinks.
Four white elephants for the price of none.
Show me the money.
Nobby31,
Why would anyone expect anything else? I see no signs of any profitable work having been carried out over the current period: Azura has been parked in Belfast for 3 months and H&W are not prepared even to hint what she's doing there, free parking for P&O to fluff the shareholders has always been my belief; Dorset Spirit isn't in for long, so the docking must have been super-cheap to justify towing her over from Canada; Another oil-change on a ferry isn't going to put jam on the table.
Cash must be running dangerously low again; I still maintain that it will be very difficult for the company to get away another placing. Public money and lots of it needed yesterday, or Christmas will indeed be cancelled for shareholders. Of course, the biggest concern is where the money is going to come from for the Turkey Twins' bonuses...
stokey12,
Care is needed with such articles; like most modern "journalism", that is clearly a puff-piece written by the company's own PR department and printed verbatim. The Saipem contract was not "new".
£1m in revenue from the Azura amounts to no more than a glorified oil-change and won't even touch the sides when considering the cost of keeping on the lights in Belfast.
Let's hope the recent noises are genuine thunder, rather than more JW wind.
"Hosting" Azura, what it that supposed to mean, she has been there for 3 months?! Free parking to excite the share-holders? Certainly I saw no sign of any work on her in July.
To add, I am concerned, however, that the company name-change suggests a move otherwise.
Let's hope that the current mess expedites a positive decision. Just maybe, the delay will work in our favour.
Perhaps it's a cunning ruse by DAERA: wait for the lights to go out and the heating to go off during the upcoming cold winter, then the locals will be begging for gas!
...in the H&W pages.
stokey12,
What do you think a Russian bulk tanker of that class would be bringing to Methil, out of interest?
As an aside, I sold spare parts into that vessel and her sisters in the recent past.
As a further aside, I note that the Infrastrata plc website makes no mention of either Methil or Arnish...
Did I miss it, or is this the first that we have heard of an "Australian base"? What would be the point of that, other than allowing JW to top up his winter tan at our expense? Rather like the Miami office aka the BoD golfing excuse.
They need to get some cash through the door in time for those all-important Christmas bonuses...
