Aim, and AIM All share sector companies all house fledgling companies who, in most cases, use placings to fund their large scale ventures in a bid to get out of this method of initial revenue for projects. So in theory, you can't blame Simon tbvh!

The problem arises when funds are misappropriated rather than used in their entirety, or most entirely on projects. Some company's waste time funding their lifestyles rather than pursuing projects and then raise again. It's a delicate balance finding a decent B.o.D's that realise they have a goal and shareholders interest at heart AND not just a hefty, (in most cases), wage packet.

There are some instances where Companies are waiting on Governmental licences.. and just wait, and this is one of the excuses they'll use,. Then there are those companies that'll continuously hound Govt. sectors for those licences and update the market on their methods of approach, as always, good comms with shareholders is always appreciated.

Also take on-board that ADV had nothing else in the bag..or even looking forward, aside from the Buffalo drill! Had it come through, the comparison could've been compared to the likes of Tullow Oil by now ... but it never materialised!

In addition, we were all bamboozled by the CEO's incessant ramping of the field and OiP, considering he'd worked for some top tier Oil companies, but experience in exploration was nil, so it just shows how much of a difference it makes to have producing fields and the experience that comes along with it... THAT is what makes the CEO different here..or in i3E!

Yes, there will always be risks in any oil play...especially at this stage, but the job of proper research and professional experienced surveys erodes the risk, albeit never completely.

Can't compare this to ADV. ADV was operating with out of date research, albeit an independent company based an outcome from ...AGAIN out of date geological data! It was assumed that the previous company back in the early 2000's had up and left the basin due to low PoO and therefore extraction costs weren't viable. This didn't turn out to be the case... they had rinsed the basin and left, either-way the expected column wasn't present commercially!

Serenity is a completely different case and scenario with up to date research and geological survey and surrounding/producing geological surveys!

Not only that but client headwinds filtering down to company, but as a medium to long term this should be good. How long depends on market outlook across sectors.

Totally agree, they were hedging everything on one drill, albeit a lot of oil with a high CoS, (80%.. or thereabouts, can't remember now), but they were using outdated paperwork/research, where the previous company had rinsed all the oil and then abandoned the basin, should've known better tbh... both BoD and shareholders.

Not the same case with EOG, and I'm much more careful these days when it comes to O&G plays.

I'm just happy with the fact that the BoD has it's head screwed on, has successful history to back that claim and is going forward with a reputable company with also a successful track record such as I3E. These are right steps to be taking to make EOG a very, very profitable company!

I was invested in ADV last year, although the BoD had experience with working for other companies, their first venture in exploration was a complete let down. Practical experience and solid history in running your own venture counts for a lot. EOG management have that extra edge that makes it very investable for myself.

I had no doubt of this SMS company and the direction it was headed in! Congrats, (so far), all invested!

Took a position here today, vowed to not invest further into Oil/Gas plays ... but hell, the fundamentals here are very good and I already have a small position in I3E from before. Been watching overhang wash through, seems to be dripping now and hopefully will break 3p very soon. Good luck all.

In response to your post Auson, what would you have said IF instead that same small amount was SOLD by PCA/PDMR/Director, instead of bought! It would change the entire view by investors as a big negative. The fact that multiple purchases have been made by the above brings about a positivity to the company and shows an internal discussions and workings about company direction of business. It's their personal opinion the company is undervalued and that is enough for me to hold my position.

I agree, that BoD should buy more, and who knows they may have an order still in play and time will tell

Excellent that PDMR's and PCA's are buying, It's as if SMS has told them, " Buy as much as you can, we have excellent pipeline news coming". I'm hoping one will be the pursuant of a NASDAQ listing!

Hoards of companies in this and most sectors who've had a challenging period last few quarters! The turnaround is coming back and companies such as SFOR will prosper well. SFOR's sp is not an isolated incident. SMS has put in effect changes at the top level as well as director purchases have been made, these are positive moves to the current situation.

SMS is an incredible business man, prob one of the best out there.

OnSolidGround, you're comparing buying trait & pressure with the first 2 days, which isn't as strong now as it was then... so the gaps between reported large clump sells will increase appropriately..all IMO dyor

Jrlomax nailed it, Jupiter are selling in large batches.. so the gaps raises the sp, and then they start another batch... which is better than continuously selling down to buyers imo... keeps the sp buoyant at around these levels. The only problem is it becomes hard to tell how much they've left until a tr1 pops up again!

Nope, I've been enjoying since my second purchase at 113... Called it beautifully back then.

Well I won't be buying today, but my views are chart based.. So others may have their own reasons. IMO, few days still as selling down continues. GLA
