RE: It's not CARNAGE it's an OPPORTUNITY.4 Jan 2021 23:13
Of course the majority is priced in, that's the whole point of market drop across the board today. What is to be remembered the first, (March) lock-down was a shock to the market system and hence the majority of companies fell to a smaller fraction of their market cap... No-one understood this new disease, no-one knew if and when a cure was coming, the death rate superseded all expectations on a GLOBAL scale, global healthcare services were unprepared for what was to come/coming!
Now we know the virus, we have a cure that's in circulation, new variants are tackled with on an ad-hoc basis by tweaking original vaccines SHOULD it even be required!
The whole aim of this lockdown is to allow the vaccination to be distributed as quick as possible by NHS and other health services without having to deal with a spreading of the original or new variant.
When we emerge from this lockdown in Feb, it will be much cleaner and easier to plan a restart to the economic engine with most vaccinated and able to return to schools and work. In-turn this means aircraft resuming to flying as holidays that are and will be booked ensue.
Any further drop tomorrow will be just panicking, and really not needed but will be taken advantage of, question is when will investors start moving back in before the 6 weeks are over, it'll be way before the end of lock-down that's for sure..just watch!
