The market makers have overdone this drop, it's as simple as that and I can see a fair value over 80p for this stock. Fund/II is accumulating at this level so expect holding TR1 RNS's dropping here very soon as the MM's keep in this range for that reason!

An excerpt from Bob Hobtson from stockopedia says it all, on the 18th November when this was priced at 77p:

"A rule of thumb for a reasonable Earnings Yield might be 5%, and the Earnings Yield for Airtel Africa is currently 13.5%."

Think he meant "Buy" time.

Yep, this is in way oversold territory and a bargain at the current sp, also in at 74p for a tier one stock.. will recover quickly and don't get many chances like this so take advantage. All IMO

Agree Fun, it's all about the endgame, current sp doesn't matter unless you're day trading. Unfortunately market is f'd up at the moment with new virus strain and London in Tier 3 from tomorrow.... AND this is precisely what I mean by Mooky not being presumptuous in his decision to re-open, he knows there is current turmoil and until he sees a few weeks of settling with no probable black swan events... he will announce his re-opening schedule alongside blockbuster release dates!

There's a lot of thought on the topic that the "Bungling Buffoon", will do a last minute deal, AND can do one right now but he's holding back to the final minutes... So he can be viewed as the "Man", who saved the the U.K, (...just short of standing in a superman position with a cape, looking staringly into the sky). Basically he wants his footnote in the political history books!

The man who bought us through the Worlds deadliest pandemic ...AND still managed to exit the E.U with a deal!

Morning all...Couple of points I think should be made clear from my point of view and all imo. Firstly the "Bungling Buffoons" remarks on Thursday/Friday stating "The U.K should be very prepared for a no-deal Brexit", is what spooked the sp Friday morning.. it's an endorsement of sorts from the 'Prime Minister' of the U.K and I believed that's been priced in now. This Sunday b*ll*cks now matters not. The sp rising towards the tail end of the trading day, was the markets recovering and coming to terms with a "No-Deal".

Also remember the markets are absorbing the fact that the U.S/F.D.A will most defo approve the vaccine for emergency use after being recommended by themselves. All that remains is the 'Rubber stamp' effect.

After all the above Mooky will be advancing on the chess board, watching and making note of changes, Lockdowns, and other factors before he decides it's safe to re-open the doors and in the benefit of the company!

Well I never took up my allocation in the end... I would've needed to sell a stock that actually made me more cash keeping it held, just to release funds for the allocation take up. Lucky or wise? I don't know, but this Brexit and the bungling buffoon acting on our behalf didn't give me much confidence.

I'm glad I took the op to sell at 68p... took me a friggin' long time to press the sell button that day. I agree Clemoc, I have a lil cash now so IF it does go below 57, i'll buy some for a longer term as I see a £1+ sp here by July if not sooner. All IMO

Yes I have no idea how much a placing will be at, I never stated that... but there will be one... might even be at 2p or higher...especially if done privately with options with an II. Be nice if they did an offering for existing holders who have been loyal.

Yes...Need to read the whole RNS, they're looking for a way to raise cash.. the standard way for AIM stock is through a placing... So there's defo one coming.

@mline, personally and all IMO, Brexit was sold on lies to the public hence the majority of the public voted for it.. IIRC the main underlying theme being our laxed borders as opposed to other EU neighbours.

Also I do agree they were never going to make it easy for us , that was clear and for the simple reason to show how they, (EU), was not going to tolerate a childs tantrums and dissuade others thinking along the same lines as the U.K

A little top up for me too, this won't get any lower being at the tail end of the pandemic looming. This is all due to the bungling buffoon Boris and his remarks last night. Tbh, I really don't know what he's even doing there in Brussels wasting more tax payers cash. This whole brexit thing has been a sham from day one!

Just the brexit effect...and it's affecting all sectors, not targetting AFC specifically.

A positive FDA report and then grant of emergency approval, is most definitely a 'benefit cog' in our mechanics to support a higher sp, there's no doubt about that, but I'll be surprised if they approve it before the weekend...The U.S. of A, like to believe it's clinical analysis is the best is the world, (...and it may so be, I don't know), so will mull over it, just a tad to prove a point!

BUT ...saying that, I'll tell you now it will be 100% passed and I think the market knows this, but as usual would like to see a rubber stamp!

As for Disney, I've already stated in another post of my opinions and I believe it will be in favour of us, (cinema industry in gen).

I don't think Disney will go down the same route, the revenue from a cinema release far overpowers a streamed release...alongside the fact that piracy is extremely easier from a streaming source .... and not to mention the fact that policing pirated movies is VERY hard...as already known!

I believe we are too close to the edge where Cinemas may open as early as March, (a gradual approach of course!), for Disney to take a step of blockbustering through their streamed service.. As a business it's a clear case of shooting themselves in the foot, so to speak...All IMPO, but sure others have differing views on this!

Yes Drifty, ...and I honestly believe Mooky will be factoring in how the vaccine distribution is moving along and making sure side effects are minimal or at least no different to other similar vaccine 'side effect' symptoms... over all the considered continents, (where CINE are concerned at least)!

Tbh, it's a wise a patient move, as just look how much news coverage was given to just 2 individuals who suffered side effects from a very large chunk of vaccinations yesterday and today... it cracked me up tbh, considering that it was forewarned that some may be effected by these 'side effects'.

Alongside the above factor, Studio negotiations as well as other mitigating circumstances have all to fall into place before he rubber stamps the doors opening and reassigning staff...

..But what a day it will be!

Tbvh mate, I think the vaccine news is a li'l priced in now... I mean YES, there will be a li'l spike, but I'm more interested in when Mooky announces he's opening the doors... that's what will propel the sp from out this gloom...and into the stratosphere... but of course he has underlying factors to consider before deciding this naturally!

Ummm... Don't think FDA passing it tomorrow, I believe they're reviewing data or results and then in a few days will grant Emergency approval..IIRC, but may grant sooner!
