Actually fund managers set a trigger to sell at a certain percentage and they're very matter of fact about their targets, there's no "if's" and "buts" about it.

Noggers, there will always be an argument for individual investors shorting....just as there is for investors going short/medium/long term. If your betting on the SP going down, then fair enough, by your reasoning on independent research you may feel that the business has no growth/prospects or you feel bad news is forthcoming. Similarly the opposite for those going an investment for the sp to rise!

Problem I think we mostly have is with larger entities targeting stocks specifically in a bid to manipulate the share price down... by slowly releasing shares on the market continually selling to aim for a target....That's whats wrong IMO

A lot of major hedge funds involved in the shorting aspect of the business are getting hammered!! ...Net effect is is the reason the FTSE is down..

YES...this affects all across the wider board... but it will correct itself as business is more focused on profits and growing business's rather than those being targeted through shorts and fraud!

Really just shows you how much money and manipulation was going on in the stock market!

Yep... and why not! This news was priced in a long time ago and should never have reached the lows of below 102p. It was PURELY a short attack in a bid to manipulate the SP down 5 days in a Goddamn row!

With all the focus and debate on whether the shorters are committing an illegal procedure by bringing the SP down forcefully and with THAT intent in mind... They must be crapping themselves, wondering how they can still hang onto their tail to tuck between their legs as they run off... because it seems the general market that's interested in the business of investing in companies wants to hack that tail clean off!

TBH, this "Gamestop", "Reddit", saga couldn't have come at a better time... I hope RyeBay and BlackRock are truly hurt...not just here in PFC.. But across the whole board and sectors they're purposely shorting and manipulating!

Betting on a sp going down by an individual investor might not be... BUT what PFC is undergoing ..or rather was, is direct manipulation of the stock price!

I'll say EXCELLENT even, considering this will be traded as we rise back up, due to Short term traders from the 102p onwards area. Vey happy with these small solid rises.

Before you know it, this will be back to 140p+

Picked up a few at 198p.. Was already undervalued as it was... now it's a bargain medium term investment! No brainer!

As said, on reversal this will be back to ~300 minimum... just wait 'n' hold!

If you're trading this stock... then, yes 2-3% drop here and there will make you some money for those calling the top/bottom correctly...in which case, good luck to you.

Those like me are here for the medium to long period, and more interested when the BA/IAG resume some normality to their global service. Same here Paddy.... lil bit of dry powder stored for that last top up...lowest could've been last Friday.. or could be coming Monday. As you say... lot's with same strategy waiting in the wings. Once this particular domino effect starts...Shorters will have to close as quick as they can as they'll know it's a losing battle to fight a strong upward trend.

This can be avoided by admin by charging a £1 fee to have a membership, and therefore have users real details. Would also avoid duplicate memberships. By all means the pound could be refunded.
