I only hold 100 of these but I was looking to buy 500 on today’s dip. I decided not to as the buy would have incurred a 0.75% FX charge on top of the usual charges. I would also have to pay 0.75% when I sold them so trading these is now out of the question for me. Good luck to those that do trade this share.
This share is now too expensive for me to trade. With the dealing charges, stamp and fx charges, it means I need the SP to increase by 43p just to cover the buying and selling costs. Quite ridiculous.
Something positive politically must be going on behind the scenes as oil is down 7% which will lift our SP when Wall Street opens. I only hold the 100 shares now for OBC.
Norwegian results are in today which are good for Q1 but full year guidance is below earlier expectations and as such their premarket SP is down over 6% which I’m sure will adversely affect our SP too. Add to this the Hantavirus being reported on a cruise ship and oil up again points to a really bad day today which will show up on our opening tomorrow. GLA.
I think you are right Pearls. I sold everything first thing this morning even my funds and my HSBC shares which I thought I would never sell as they have been so good. I’ll be back when the dust has settled. Good luck to all long term holders.
I sold everything including my funds and my daughter’s fund first thing this morning. I never thought I would ever sell these HSBC shares but I think it’s just going to keep bleeding downwards. Everything was in ISA so made a good sum. I’ll be back when things have settled down. GLA
The only thing that may be positive today is Norwegian results. If they come in good it may give us a lift but if the market isn’t happy with the results then we will see an ever bigger fall. Here’s to a swift end to the war. GLA
Let’s be honest, the SP is a law unto itself. All indexes in US are down and here we are with a big jump up. If I hadn’t held these for quite a while I certainly wouldn’t buy now. It seems more like a gamble now than an investment.
We often have a bit of a sell off on a Friday and some investors may not be happy holding this over the weekend with the Iran situation so this could get even more ugly later today.
