I guess oil prices would rise and as such share prices would fall.

I think it turned out to be a great day considering oil is up over 3%.

Elliot investment have built a stake in Norwegian cruise lines which now sees it share price up 10% pre market. This sort of movement in price often gives us and Royal a strong move up. Let’s hope so. 🤞

Had a great start to the day about 40p up. Now we’re down and USA is not even open!!!!!!!!!

Love your optimism Bot or is it sarcasm? After yesterday’s sell off in US I don’t know where this is going in the short term. Any insights you have gratefully received.

S&P and Dow both down over 1%. FTSE down. My bank stocks took a bit of a dive since Wall Street opened.

But positives are oil is down and exchange rate is a little better but overall not the day we all hoped for 😞

Thanks Bot, I stand corrected about ex divi day. I’m pleased I was wrong though as like you say there is a chance people will buy in for the dividend which might see a nice rise. Onwards and upwards.

There was a strong finish to US trading. We should open ahead tomorrow even taking into account ex dividend. GLA

That is the case Bhants. We have to hope that it performs well during the rest of the trading hours in US. If it does we may start tomorrow up even though it goes ex.

Bot, you are right about the carnival gods. We were sitting nicely at £24.47 with good US jobs report, futures well up too, exchange rate a bit more favourable and now look at us back below £24. Big sigh.

In US trading hours SP dropped to $31.00 but somehow roared back to close at $31.86 which suggests we will open around 5p down tomorrow.

Oil just spiked and SP in US has taken a nosedive.
